Story
Adoption Fee: $100 Age: 12 years Weight: 7 lbs. Fostered in Fredericktown, MO Email: moyorkiemom@yahoo.com Hi, my name is Charlie and I seem to be in the market for a new family/home. My previous humans could not keep me any longer, so they surrendered me to YHR. I have been having a blast at my foster home. Did someone say that I was 12 years old? Well, I go by the saying, “you are as old as you feel”, and I feel 6! Foster mom brought me to the vet and I am officially up to date on everything. Even had the dentist clean my teeth and take out 9 that needed to be evicted. I’m extremely social. i.e., love all dogs and all people. However, if you don’t have any other dogs, that won’t hurt my diva feelings. That just means I will get more attention. I’m pretty much a free spirit when it comes to my sleeping habits. Sometimes I sleep with foster mom and dad, sometimes a random dog bed and sometimes go in the open kennel. It really just all depends on where I am when I get tired. BUT, beware, I’m told that I SNORE! Apparently very loud. I eat twice a day at my new home, which seems to be good since I would overeat if I were able to free feed. I like playing with toys, so I sure hope my forever home has a bunch of them. I’ve been really good about my potty habits here, but I will need to be brought out often if you expect this to continue. Here’s a tip: I don’t like to go outside when it’s raining. NOPE, not doing it. However, I love baths. I can’t explain it. I also like being brushed. A girl cannot be too pretty. I’m learning to walk with a harness and leash if anyone wants to take me on a walk, but I’d like a fence in yard to potty and play in. I love to snuggle with my people, love to be held, sit in laps, giving kisses, receiving belly rubs, showing and receiving affection, and, basically any form of attention. Normal household noises don’t seem to bother me. So far, I’ve only barked when foster mom or dad initially leave the house. I get a little anxious on car rides, but if you let me ride in your lap, it’s much better. Also, during storms, I like my people to be near. Other than that, I’m pretty unfazeable. Still trying to learn the pet steps, so you may have to just pick me up and put me down. Since I’m so social, I could be considered a flight risk when a door is open. I’m just happy go lucky and don’t know all the trouble I could get into, so it’s obviously going to be your job to make sure I’m secure. I hate to boast, but I’m a great baby with an adorable face and body and a cute name. I will do great in any home with dogs or will thrive as an only dog as well. I’m definitely a Velcro dog and like to be included on all that’s going on. So, who wants me?

Story
Shamar is a loyal, playful, loving, and highly energetic dog that loves pets and attention. He is about 2 years old. He knows simple commands, such as "sit," "down," "wait," and "house." He has lived with our family on our farm for the past year. We are deciding to rehome him because-while he does play well with other high energy dogs-he has shown himself to be unsafe with the other farm animals and has been scared by loud machines and motors. He would do best with an experienced dog owner who is willing to be patient with him as he works to refine his obedience, impulsivity, and awareness of surroundings. He has high potential to be a great dog.
