Rehoming. This sweet girls owner passed away. I am homing her until we can find her furever home! Miss Francesca "Frankie" is a 2 year old Mountain Curr mix breed. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is potty trained and a very smart girl! She is the sweetest little lady and will make a very good companion for someone. She is gentle and laid back. Good with other dogs and cats too. Good with children/toddlers also! She really is a dream dog and I believe will fit in most scenarios.

Story
If you are interested, you MUST complete the application. We will only set up meet and greets with an approved application. Pixie is one of 10 small defenseless little dogs that was dumped in the middle of many many acres of nothing but soybean and corn fields. What a horrible fate for these dear sweet babies. Animal Control was called and they called PAWS to see if we could assist with trying to catch them and take them in. We have spent over two weeks (at the time of this post) and managed to catch 7 of them. We are still working to catch the last two that we can find and have not seen the 10th one since the first day. These babies have been through quite the ordeal and are now ready to go on to homes where they will be loved and doted on. They are all shy at first and definite flight risks so they will not be adopted to homes with children and will require that the adopter have a fenced yard. This beautiful girl, Pixie, is very shy and will take someone with lots of love and patience to win her over. She came around very quickly with me but gets very scared if anything in her environment changes or if she is taken to a new environment (such as the vet). She is a very loving little girl who wants to be loved so badly but just can't forget that humans have not been kind to her. She is still very afraid of fast movements. She will do well with other other dogs as long as they are her size or smaller and allow her to be the boss. She is about 11 lbs and we guestimate that she was born around 07/01/2018. Her adoption fee is $350.

Story
Oliver was surrendered to an Animal Control facility because his owner was neglecting him. He was so scared and untrusting when he first arrived but was also so wanting of attention and affection. He was a bit standoffish and reactive to quick movements for a couple of days but he quickly gave kisses when I sat quietly with him and just let him be. He is a great little guy who weighs about 22 lbs and is believed to have been born around 11/20/2016. He just needs a little love, patience and kindness in a quiet home with no children. So far, he has been good with the other small dogs that he has been in a playgroup with but they are always supervised. This boy has SO much love to give and I just pray someone with open their heart to him and give him the chance to be loved that he has never had until he arrived at PAWS. He is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative, and had a dental on 12/06/2024. His adoption fee is $200. If interested in becoming his family, please go to pawspaws.org to complete the application. Thanks so much for your interest!

Story
Rhett was part of a hoarding situation. His lucky day came on June 14 when a kind soul took him from that terrible situation and brought him to PAWS. He was a pitiful site - his fur caked with feces and dirt, fleas all over him, toe nails so long he could barely walk, and so hungry. But, despite all of that, he found a way to be such a happy boy and seemed to know his life had just gotten better. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his Parvo/Distemper and Rabies shot. He did test positive for Heartworms so we have begun the treatment and will be sure that is completed. This special, kind hearted boy deserves to know the love of a family of his own and I just know the right one is out there waiting for him. If interested in adopting him, please go to pawspaws.org to complete the PAWS application. You will need to leave the Petfinder site and go to your Google search engine and type in pawspaws.org. Meet and greets will be arranged after we have an approved application. He is a treasure will make your life complete! His adoption fee is $300.

Story
Sheena was found on the side of the road. Someone had most likely dumped and then someone hit her and left her. A passerby picked her up and took her to the vet. Luckily her injuries were pretty minor and she recovered quickly. She is an energetic, smart, funny young girl who loves to play. She has not done well with other dogs so far as she plays really rough and can be intimidating! If introduced slowly, she will most likely be fine with dogs around her size. I would not recommend a home with small children since she does tend to play so rough. She is thought to be have been born around December, 2020. She currently weighs about 40 lbs. She is a happy girl who will make you smile with her beautiful happy outlook! She listens well and just wants to please so badly. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested, please go to pawspaws.org and complete the application. Once approved, I will contact you to set up a meet and greet so you can come to meet this baby girl! Thanks for your interest!
