She confidently holds her head up high to let you know how awesome she is. She is not wrong. Eve is an awesome little dog with lots of happiness to share. Eve loves toys and squeaks them until they do not squeak any longer. It isn’t just her toys that squeak. When it is meal time, Eve will squeak with delight in anticipation of her bowl of yummy food being served to her. Eve is great with other dogs and would enjoy sharing a home with another friendly playful dog. She is a very playful puppy who would love to live with you. Eve is house trained, or close. She is crate trained and chipped. She is spayed. A fenced yard is required. We do not adopt to homes with electronic fences. No exceptions. Story
Erin will be adopted in the Greater St. Louis Area or the Greater Kansas City Area. We do not adopt to homes with small children. A fenced yard is required. No exceptions. Erin will need a calm experienced home. I’m Erin and I’m 5 years old. We don’t really know what my situation was before I was rescued, but my life is so much better now. I’m very timid until I know no one will hurt me. Be patient and I will become your best friend. Loud noises scare me so no yelling please. Men can be scary but if they talk quietly to me and let me come to them, they can be my friend. I haven’t been around small children. I love going on walks and I’m starting to figure out how much fun toys are. I get the zoomies and will race around for a few minutes then quiet down. I’m good friends with my foster cat brother. I am probably too energetic for small kittens or other small furry critters. My foster mom calls me a silly girl, but I’m just so excited to go for a walk that my whole body wiggles. I’m the true example of a wiggle butt. I’m still working on walking calmly. Sometimes I pull and try to wander from side to side because everything is interesting. I’m working on being friends with bigger dogs. If I can take my time getting to know the bigger dog, I will be ok being near them without getting upset. I’m crate trained and after a minute of barking, I’ll quiet down when I’m left alone. We believe that Erin is a Corgi/Cattle Dog mix. Please email claireelizabeth@petssecondchance.org for more information.

Story
We did Brownie's DNA! He's about half cattle dog and the next biggest result was Boxer but he is mixed with many other breeds. Brownie is a sweet, energetic and spunky guy who had a rough start in life. He loves affection and is a good boy. He was found as a stray in Bonne Terre and got picked up by animal control, which is just a shed. We believe Brownie would do best in a more quiet home with older or no kids and an active owner that would spoil him and give him the life he deserves. Brownie will need a fence as he has a high prey drive and loves to chase the yard critters. If there are other dogs in the home they should be about his size or bigger. He loves to play with the other dogs. He has been introduced to the dog savvy catin the house and they get along okay.We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area. Please see our Adoption Policies here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TZjrOP29mqXvcHEC3zPaKXXnS80LaVGMA45Lc0-Z2MI/edit?usp=sharingInformation about the rescue and adoption process can also be found at www.stlpetrescue.com along with a full listing of our adoptable pets. Our adoption fees:Cats range from $150 to $175. Exotic breeds may be more. Dogs range from $250 to $350. High demand puppies and small dogs may be more. This fee includes: felv/fiv/heartworm testing, worming, flea and ear mite treatments, age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, lab work, dental or other medical or surgical treatments as deemed necessary by our team of veterinarians and a microchip with free registration.

Story
Rudy is a rescue pet that i got at 6 weeks old. He grew very quickly and is now 9 months old. He weighs aproximately 95 lbs. UTD on shots, has been neutered, and chipped. He is very strong and has become too hard for me to handle. Very playful, observant, and tries to outsmart you. He has become more aggressive in jumping and nipping at me and i dislike constantly putting him in a cage. Looking for someone who loves big dogs and can handle him physically to be trained better. I am just heartbroken over this. He was going to be my forever dog but i cannot continue to care for him. I know he can be a wonderful pet with some training and knowledge of handling a big dog. I am going to be very choosy in finding someone.
