I found Ralph on the side of the road and really had no choice but to help him. He has always been a sweet dog but we can no longer give him what he needs. He likes to escape and roam the neighborhood and I can no longer chase him around. He needs a home where he can roam free. He is 10 years old but has plenty of spunk left. He would make a great farm dog or dog for someone with a lot of land.

He wants one thing in life (besides car rides and walks) To lean against you on the sofa or whenever or wherever he can. He likes his crate and bed and is happy in it for long periods. But Fitzgeraldâ€™s human sister had severe allergies that couldnâ€™t be controlled and his family had to make the heartbreaking decision to give him up. Fitz would do best in a home without young children or other pets. He is an affectionate, loyal dog once he warms up to you. But he needs a structured home and a savvy adopter, experienced with his breed, that is willing to work with him. He is so much fun and loves to explore and to play.

Fletcher has been in the shelter for so many years. We think it's because he is a black dog and he is a very big boy. He is such a goof ball! He is playful, but because he has been in the shelter for so long he needs an experienced person to work with him on manners. He isn't a fan of other dogs which will require him to be the only dog in the home.
