Sir Stripes was found in a parking lot, starved, beaten and scared back in early February 2023. after weeks of medical care, he was able to make a full recovery. Stripes had started basic obedience training where he has thrived. He interacts with the other Shelter dogs going on hikes, doing training group class socialization out with the public.. He loves to play, but also loves to receive affection. He is praise and treat motivated. He enjoys long walks and interacting with all people.

He is on the lazy side, really enjoys attention and just hanging out. Chocolate would do best in a single dog home.

Happy 1 year old, female, German Shepherd/ Border collie mix. UTD on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and she is heartworm negative. Happy is an active loving girl. Happy is receiving basic obedience training with our Certified dog trainer at the shelter. Happy is a sweet, loving girl, and would do great in a home with other dogs and with children. At this point in her training, her trainer does not recommend her to be in a home with a toddler because of how active she is. If adopted locally. Happy’s Trainer is still willing to continue basic obedience training with her for FREE, until all behavior goals are met.

Trust is the Bogalusa animal shelter Watergirl. Trust loves being in the water, she will also go dive in water to catch items. She also loves to play a game of catch on land .Trust is an active girl who is a little on the shy side at first. She gets along with other dogs, she enjoys attention from everyone that comes to the shelter. Trust is in basic obedience training. Trust needs an active family, that will take her on adventures and definitely direct her to the nearest swimming hole.
