Story
Josie is a full blooded black and white Boxer. She is 6 years old and is requires lots of love! She loves to cuddle and give kisses. She would probably do better as an only pet because she does not do well with little dogs, cats or other female dogs. She is not aggressive at all. Has always been an inside dog, too. She knows no boundaries and doesn’t know any personal space lol. We have moved quite a bit in her lifetime, so she adjusts to change pretty quickly. Currently looking to rehome due to allergies, a small child, and living in town without appropriate area for her to play.

Story
We found Winnie by a Dollar General. We have four dogs all ready and she is getting along well with them. She is very happy and has a lot of energy. She is very wiggly and excited. She does pee when excited and nervous. She is very people friendly and I think she would do well with kids. She is about a year old and needs training but I have not noticed any behavioral red flags. She has a lot of energy so she needs more attention than we can currently give her. She looks like a lab/shepherd mix.

Story
Hound mix UTD, spayed Good with other dogs Lucy is about six years old, weighs around fifty pounds, and has tested negative for heartworms.  She came in as a stray with puppies, and although her puppies have all found homes, Lucy hadn't had much human interaction so she needed time to adjust.  She is very good in her kennel and will now walk on a leash but is still very wary of people.  Although she is still a work in progress, we would love a caring foster or adopter to bring her home and continue working with her to show love and how to trust.  If you think you can provide a secure, patient home, please submit an application from our website eastmsanimalrescue.com.         In order to be considered for the adoption process, please fill out the adoption pre-interview form located HERE. This form MUST be COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED before inquiring about adoption. A representative from EMAR will respond in a timely manner. Adoption fees vary per animal based on age, breed, expenses, etc.August 23, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
Beagle/Terrier mix UTD neutered Peanut is about four and an half years old, weighs 35 pounds, has tested negative for heartworms, and is kennel-trained.  He was pulled from the local Animal Control where he was not eligible for adoption due to being on the shy side.  He is still afraid of people but has made great strides in his foster home; with a patient person, a confident canine friend, and a securely fenced-in yard we're sure he'll settle in and show how gentle he is!  He loves sleeping on the sofa, and although he currently is not comfortable on a leash he is quite food motivated.     In order to be considered for the adoption process, please fill out the adoption pre-interview form located HERE. This form MUST be COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED before inquiring about adoption. A representative from EMAR will respond in a timely manner.
