Story
Ella Mae has arrived from Mexico! This sweet girl has had a tough life but is looking forward to a new beginning! She is so sweet & gentle natured. She's calm but loves to explore. She is looking forward to a slow retirement home filled with love! Age: 12 Breed:  Chi Mix Weight:  12 lbs Kid-friendly: Great with kiddos but she is shy so we recommend older kiddos. Dogs: She's pretty bossy so she would need a very tolerant dog. She likes to bark orders! Cats: Yes but again, bossy ;) Crate trained: Yes! Potty trained: Yes! Health concerns: She only has two teeth! Adoption fee: $175 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us.      Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.  Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience. We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Story
Sweet Reba! Reba is a bit shy but her personality really blooms with another dog. She listens well and loves treats and belly rubs. Reba has a sweet personality, both kennel and potty trained. She enjoys the love and affection of her humans. She is truly a gentle and loving girl. We do recommend she go to a home with another dog that will give her confidence. Reba is quite small for a Shepherd Mix. She is only 35lbs so great for an apartment or someone looking for a smaller dog. Age: 5 years Breed: Shepherd/Mix Weight: 37 lbs Kid-friendly: She does great with the foster's older children but may be a little timid towards younger children. We recommend children that have respectful boundaries with dogs. Dogs: Yes, we would prefer she go to a home with another dog. Cats: Unknown but with slow introductions she may be fine, she doesn't seem to have a prey drive Crate trained: Yes, she does great in her crate Potty trained: Yes Health concerns: None Adoption fee: $325 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). Story
In search of his forever family, Bliss is a 16 year old gentleman ready to find a retirement home! He is vision impaired but that doesn’t stop him from loving his people and going on adventures . He’s good with cats and low-energy dogs (if they don’t scare him). He loves to walk and sniff the grass. He loves to walk and sniff the world around him. Bliss is a sweet boy, so healthy. His foster home has two adults, two dogs and one outside cat. Can he live out his golden years with you? Age: 16 years Breed: Poodle/mix Weight: 15 pounds Kid-friendly: Hasn't been around children in his foster home, sudden movements do startle him. Dogs: Bliss can be afraid of high-energy dogs. He would match best with a low-energy dog that will give him space. Cats: Yes Crate trained: He is fine with his crate and his enclosure. Those are his safe places. Potty trained: Yes and No. Bliss is potty trained but at age 16 he is best wearing a belly band. We take him out every couple of hours with our other senior but he can go longer. Health concerns: He is a bit stiff so continued joint supplements are recommended. Current medications & estimated costs: He is currently taking Trazodone. This is a recent addition, 25 mg seems to be good as he can be anxious, once settled he may not need Trazodone Adoption fee: $175 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Story
Meet Tessie, a charming 10-year-old Labrador Retriever.   This gentle soul exudes a calm demeanor, completely  unfazed by the opinions of other dogs—she's never  once barked back at those who challenge her during  our walks. Tessie enjoys leisurely strolls, but her true  passion lies in resting afterward, recharging her energy  to be the ultimate "velcro dog" when her loved ones are  nearby. While she may not be interested in traditional  playtime—preferring to give a few licks to a chew toy  while ignoring balls and sticks—she adores exploring  her surroundings with her keen sense of smell. Tessie  c raves companionship, always eager for a gentle pet  while we relax in front of the TV or attempting to snuggle up as a lap dog during meals. Age: 10 years Breed:  Labrador Retriever Weight: 65 lbs Kid-friendly: Yes Dogs: Yes Cats: Yes, not kittens Crate trained: Can free roam, when gone she is in a baby gate area.
