Story
This is Sophia! She’s a 2 year old Akbash. She is quite possibly the happiest goofiest dog I have ever met. And largest. She knows basic commands but could use more training. She loves kids, cats, and other dogs and is very gentle. Her favorite things are walks, car rides, and zoomies outside with the kids. We inherited Sophia after a friend’s dad passed away. When I agreed to take her I had a very flexible work schedule, but just a few weeks after she arrived my employer mandated an 8 hours in office schedule. We are gone now 12 hours/day during the week and have tried to make it work, but Sophia is a very sweet and social dog and it is cruel leaving her home so long alone. The perfect home would be where someone is home a lot, she loves kids especially ones that can run with her, another dog friend would be good, and just humans willing to love her ❤️ I do not have any paperwork for her or records she was just handed over without much information. All I know is she is spayed.

Introducing Doyle! Doyle is approximately a year old. He is a local stray found by a good Samaritan. We believe Doyle is a Lab/Pit Bull mix.  Doyle is a smart, vibrant 47 pounds of pure love lap dog. He has expressive eyes, and is so very handsome. He is the best boy in the car!  Doyle is a laid back pup and is not big on barking. He is currently being fostered by a family that has an older senior dog, and they get along great. They feed the two dogs separately. And have had zero issues with them. Doyle is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and potty trained!  Doyle is a sweet soul who is looking for a family to call his own. Story
Harlowe is a Beagle/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is 6 months old, and currently weighs 25 lbs. Harlowe was a local owner surrender. Harlowe is a sweet pup who adores people. When she sees her favorite people, she is the biggest wiggle butt ever!  She is currently living with 2 other foster dogs, about her same size, and they all get along great. She actually puts up with a lot from the other puppies, but when she's had enough, she definitely lets them know that!  Out of the 3 pups in the foster home, Harlowe is definitely the most mellow.  When Harlowe first arrived at her foster mom's house, her foster mom noticed some resource guarding and food aggression. But she has been working hard with her on that, and she is showing great improvement!  She was not potty trained, but was a very fast learner and has had very few accidents so far. She always lets us know when it's time to go out and potty! Harlowe is not a fan of car rides, unfortunately. The car can make her sick at times. But she's getting more used to it as time goes on.  Harlowe's foster mom is currently working on properly socializing her with other dogs. She does great with dogs her same size, but does bark at bigger dogs when she sees them. She is not aggressive towards them, just very loud.  Harlowe is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and microchipped!  If you would like to meet this sweet girl, please fill out the dog adoption application on our website www.aohrescue.org/forms and a meet and greet can be set up!  ##2601211##

Story
Navy Bean is a 5-month-old Australian Shepherd mix. She was abandoned in her dog crate in an alley way. Thankfully, a good Samaritan found her and brought her to us. And luckily, Navy was healthy and unharmed. We immediately sent her to foster.Navy was not potty trained when she first arrived, but after just 3 days, she was! She is very smart, a fast learner, and sweet as can be! She is being fostered with another puppy named Harlowe, and those 2 have quickly become best buds! Navy is still in her puppy phase, and she is right in the middle of her "biting everything and everyone" phase! By that, we mean the puppy nibbles phase. But we are working on that as we speak. She is being crate trained and learning how to walk politely on a leash - and doing great at both!Navy's favorite thing in the world is playtime with her bff, Harlowe. They love to run around and chase each other in their foster mom's fenced in backyard! Navy has been spayed, is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. She is available for adoption now! Please fill out an adoption application, and a meet and greet can be set up!Apply here: www.aohrescue.org/forms ##2601212##

Story
Jack Jack is a purebred Shiba Inu from a repetable breeder. He is 5years old and about 20 -25lbs. He is up to date with his shots and just had a good vet check. He is chipped and neutered. His behavior is typical for a Shiba Inu. He is good with most dogs, but his one fault is some food aggression. This is easily managed. I don’t know about cats, but doesn’t seem to have a strong prey drive. He is housetrained, pretty good on a leash and knows some commands. He is very trainable because he is food motivated. He activty level is low to moderate. He loves to be outside. As with most Shibas a fence in yard would be best. He playful with other dogs and humans. He is friendly, sweet, indepedent, happy, relaxed and quite most of the time. WHY ARE WE REHOMING. Our other dog Titan is a troubled rescue and we thought he'd like a friend. Jack Jack wants to play but Titan doesn't understand and goes and hides. This is not Jack Jack fault he is a good boy and should be a good fit in most homes.

Story
Meet Sundance Sundance is an active, loving dog who will be 7 years old on February 12. I adopted him from the Golden Valley Humane Society when he was 2, and he has been a loyal companion ever since. He is a great match for someone who enjoys running or staying active, he keeps up well, stays focused, and absolutely lives for playing frisbee, his favorite way to run fast and burn energy. Sundance also loves walks, car rides, pup cups, and his buddy Biscuits. Due to a recent schedule change, Sundance developed separation anxiety. He is currently on Prozac, which has helped him significantly, but he would do best in a home where someone is around more often and can provide consistency and companionship. He has some quirky eating habits but does well with a routine and currently eats biscuits in the morning and a full meal at night. Sundance would thrive with a patient, active person or family who can give him the time, structure, and love he deserves.
