Story
“Rehoming” She's a Good Girl Loves her Mamma Likes Cheese It's And exercise too But we're a bad home For leaving her bored and Spending 9 hours Alone in her room So , now we're Reeeee Rehoming Yeah we're Ree Rehoming An Ideal home Where She's the only baby A mom or dad who Can keep her engaged And its a hard choice God knows that we’ll miss her For our girl , it’s Just the right thing to do And she's a weird girl Not crazy about water Only bathes once Or twice in a year Likes long walks And being told she's pretty But her soul needs more than we can give. (Refrain) Other notes , she has lived with young ones and dogs , but she needs predictability and stimulation in her day and we can no longer provide that for her with our current home life . She’s a loyal and loving companion, well worth the time . She adores our other dog and toddler , but they’re too much for her now . She’s worth warming up , the time you put in with her you will get back tenfold!

Story
Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. The details: Needs Fence: Depends on setting (needs to gain trust to be leashed, fence necessary in busier area) Good With Dogs: Yes Good With People: Needs patience Good with cats: Yes All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.

Story
Updated Bio: Amy came in to rescue along with Jeff. They were in desperate need of vet care and haircuts. Now their new coats have come in and they are soft and mat-free! Amy is a 2 year old, standard aussie at about 40 pounds. She is playful and friendly once she gets to know you, but is wary at first and requires slow introductions. She is most wary of men and children. She is a bit of an attention hog, but isn't rude about it. She simply knows that people give the best snuggles and she never passes up an opportunity to get some head scratches. Her foster is taking her through obedience classes to work on her socialization and confidence building. Her perfect family would continue classes with her and take the time to do slow introductions. The details: Needs fence: No Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: 13+ with slow intros Good with cats: no exposure All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. Story
UPDATED BIO - Dodger is a year old neutered Red Tri Aussie with lots of copper and a white blaze on his chest. Dodger's history is unknown - he was a stray that had to be live trapped. Dodger loves his people and other dogs but is somewhat nervous in new environments. Like most dogs, once he realizes he's in a safe place he becomes very outgoing and bouncy! Dodger would do really well with another dog to play with. Even though Dodger could jump a shorter fence, he made no attempt to in one of his foster homes, always staying close to his foster Mom. A fenced yard would be beneficial, though, as Dodger hasn't had enough walks yet to realize how fun they are, and his history of running makes him a flight risk. Needs fence: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown - no exposure Good with kids: Teens or older All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family.
