Story
Max is one of the sweetest dogs but can be shy at first. Loves to play and is very energetic. Love cuddles and belly rubs. Gets along great with our dogs. He is house trained but needs you go out more frequently than other dogs. Part of the reason we can't keep him is that we both work full time and I'll be starting law school soon and won't be home frequently enough. Needs to be mentally stimulated fairly often.

Story
Bubba is some sort of pointer mix and is about 4 years old. Such a sweet boy who has always welcomed affection and has such a love for life. When we found him, he was quite emaciated and required proper refeeding and lots of love. Our family felt as though he found us for a reason and therefore he has been at home with us, hoping his owners may respond to social media posts however this never happened and unfortunately, he was never microchipped. He is doing really well right now in regards to having gained appropriate weight and although we will miss him, we are not in a position to keep him long term. Bubba is a high energy dog that thinks he is a lap dog:) Requires ability to get significant amount of exercise daily. Loves walks, car rides and palling around. Knows basic commands. Walks well on a leash but requires redirection with bunnies/other dogs/some people as he will bark. Has started to play along fence line with neighbors dog. Warming up to our FIVE cats :)

Story
Kiwi is a sweet, affectionate, and energetic pup with a heart full of love. Originally found as a stray on a reservation, she was taken in by the Humane Society, where her playful spirit and gentle nature quickly stood out. We adopted her when she was just a year old, and she has been a joyful part of our family ever since. Kiwi adores people, especially children and gets along wonderfully with other pets. She loves cats. She’s playful, social, and always ready for an adventure or a cuddle. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors, playing with a furry friend, or curling up for snuggles, Kiwi is happiest when she’s with her people. As much as we love her, our work schedules and caring for a toddler mean we can’t give Kiwi the time and activity she thrives on. She deserves a home where she can enjoy plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Kiwi would be a perfect fit for an active family, a home with kids, or a household with other pets.

Story
Location: Monticello, MN Hi there, I’m Gromit! I’m a curious, happy puppy with all the typical puppy energy. Always ready to explore, play, and see what’s going on around me. I currently have three furry siblings and I love them all…but shhh, don’t tell anyone, my favorite is my fur brother because he can really match my energy! I adore following my siblings around and when playtime is over, I’m always first in line for snuggles. There’s also this small looking dog in my foster home… I think it’s a dog? It hisses at me a lot, so I’m not totally convinced. Still, I’m very brave and polite. I just approach slowly and carefully to see if I can sneak in a sniff or two. I love staying close to my foster parents, but my absolute favorite human is the little one who mysteriously always has snacks to share. Honestly, I think we’re best friends. I’m learning that my kennel is my own little space and I’m doing a great job practicing, but right now I still have sleepovers on the big dog bed with two of my fur siblings. I sleep through the night with no accidents as long as I get a potty break before bedtime and I’m doing really well with potty training overall! I’ve made huge improvements since my first couple of days in my foster home and I get better every day. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart, I’m ready to wiggle my way into your life. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Rock Valley, IA Norbert is a sensitive, sweet soul who thrives in calm, understanding environments. He absolutely loves being outside—running, playing, and soaking up fresh air—and when playtime is done, he’s more than happy to settle in for cuddles. He’s potty trained and does wonderfully when left alone, never chewing things up… as long as he’s not crated. Crates are a big no for Norbert and cause him a lot of stress, so he does best with freedom and trust. He loves other dogs and really enjoys having canine friends to play with. He’s also around cats; while it took him some time to adjust, they’re slowly warming up to each other. Norbert can be a bit too enthusiastic and wants to play rough, but he’s actively working on learning better manners. Norbert is initially very scared of new people and prefers quiet, low-key settings. He’s a high-anxiety boy who needs patience, gentle reassurance, and time to feel safe—but once he does, his affectionate side truly shines. He’s medium energy overall and lives for his toys and bones, which bring him a lot of comfort and joy. Norbert would do best with a calm, patient home that understands his need for space, routine, and kindness. With the right person, he’ll be an incredibly loyal, loving companion. 🐾💙 --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Meet Ruby (aka Scarlet)! ❤️🐾 Ruby is a beautiful sweetheart (33% German Shepherd, 67% mystery mix!) with a heart full of love and a spirit full of fun. She came into foster care at just 4-weeks-old, was adopted by her foster mom, and is now looking for a new forever home after her owner became too ill to care for her. Ruby still has that adorable puppy energy and is affectionately known as a “Velcro dog”—she loves being close to her people! She bonds quickly, follows her humans from room to room, and is happiest when she’s part of whatever you’re doing. Ruby’s strengths: ✨ Kennel trained ✨ Potty trained ✨ Very smart and quick to learn ✨ Affectionate, sweet, and well-mannered ✨ Great with other dogs and cats ✨ Spayed (fixed) and fully up to date on vaccinations She loves playing fetch, going for walks, and will thrive with someone who wants an active companion. Ruby is looking for a family or individual with time to play, exercise, and enjoy her energetic, loving personality. Bonus: Ruby comes with her kennel, bed, toys, treats, and LOTS of food—she’s all set and ready to settle right into her new home! If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and lively companion, Ruby might be your perfect match. ❤️🐶 --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
