She is a very sweet active high energy dog that will play ball with you all day long if you let her , Im not sure if its because we have two other dogs or other reasons , but it seems like she got anxiety issues and barks at the wind or any noise . The reason we are trying to re home her is she doesn’t get along with one of our other dogs .

Story
Hi, I’m Apollo! I’m a 10 month old, 37# Border Collie mix, and I’m looking for my forever family. People say I’m adventurous, curious, smart, and friendly, and that sums me up pretty well. My favorite pastimes are collecting toys, carrying them around the house or settling down with a bully stick when I'm ready to relax. I’ve got plenty of energy, especially outside - I love to run, explore, and play, and I’m really fast! Inside, I settle down... but if you want a play break, just let me know! I’d be happiest with an active and patient family who enjoys keeping me busy and teaching me new things. A fenced yard would be heavenly, or a family dedicated to giving me safe outdoor time would work too. Kids under 10 that have had dogs before would be fun for me. While I’d enjoy having a canine sibling, I can also entertain myself. I’ve started showing some herding instincts with other dogs, so a family familiar with herding breeds is probably best. I haven’t met cats yet, but with proper introductions and training, I bet we would be friends. I’m proud to say I’m doing great with housetraining and have learned to whine at the door when it’s time to go out! I relax in my crate at night and when my foster mom has to focus for work. Sometimes I complain just a little, but it doesn’t last long. I enjoy being on a long line and am working on regular leash walking skills. My foster mom is helping me learn basic commands like sit, stay, and come (that’s my favorite one – I get to run AND get cookies at the end!). My master plan is to take my family to obedience classes so we get dedicated time together and I get to see new things, people, and other dogs. Plus, I will use my smarts to show off and get more cookies! I promise, if you give me a chance, I’ll be your best friend. You'll always be smiling when I'm around. APPLY to adopt Apollo at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Apollo is being fostered in East Bethel, MN. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Apollo's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Hi there! My name is Pip, but you can call me Pippi Dogstocking or the Pipster, both nicknames that fit my bright, bouncy personality. I’m a 3-year-old. 34# Border Collie. My first 3 years were not ideal, but believe you me, with my new family, I will live the BEST life moving forward. I’m best described as resilient, happy, playful, affectionate, energetic, and alert. My soft, cute exterior hides a busy brain – I like to keep myself occupied. My theme song is “Jump” by Van Halen, because that’s how I show my excitement about… well, everything. My favorite things? Attention tops the list, followed closely by food, toys, and games like tug and fetch. I adore my people and want to be right in the middle of whatever is happening in my home. Because of that enthusiasm, I’m still learning about personal space and tend to jump or climb into laps uninvited. Training classes will be right up my alley, though. I’m eager to please, smart, and will absolutely shine with structure and guidance. My energy level is not for the faint of heart; I’m not off the charts but need something to do with my brain and body every day. I’d love an active, herding-breed–experienced home with a fenced yard or safe place to run so I can show off my speed. People who want to take me running, try agility or dog sports or simply believe in staying busy are perfect. A feline-free home is best; cats are a bit too interesting. A playful canine sibling would be da bomb! Older kids would be ok. Because I’m still learning not to nip and jump, littles are not a good fit. I’m housebroken with supervision and crate-trained (though I may protest with FOMO). Leash leash walking is a work in progress – it’s brand new to me! I’m gaining confidence every day. I’m on the slim side right now, working to gain a few healthy pounds with good food and love. If you’re looking for a devoted, active, joyful companion who’s ready to learn and love with her whole heart, I might just be your girl. Pip is being fostered in Minneapolis, MN. APPLY TO ADOPT Pip at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Pip is being treated with a 30-day course of doxycycline for Lyme and Anaplasmosis. We do not expect any long-term effect from these conditions. Paul. Pip's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. She will be spayed and microchipped soon: her adoption fee includes the cost for these procedures. She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. All of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Sweet Maisie is a 6-year-old, 36# Border Collie with a heart as gentle as her big brown eyes. She is the perfect mid-sized companion who enjoys cuddling, walks, and hanging with her people. Affectionate and friendly with everyone she meets, Maisie greets visitors politely and loves being part of the family. The most remarkable thing about Maisie is her incredible intuition. She looks deep into your eyes and connects with you on a level that only a special canine companion can. This beauty is always ready for a stroll or time patrolling the backyard. Once inside, she is well-behaved and easy to live with. When it’s time to relax, she is right at your feet or waiting to be invited beside you on the couch, happy to soak up affection. Trustworthy loose in the house, and will crate if needed. Entertains herself nicely and loves a good chew bone. Maisie is doing very well on leash. #1 on her wish list is a fenced yard where she can watch the world and sniff to her heart's content. She is learning that car rides lead to fun new places. Maisie is a smart girl who picks up new routines easily. She’s building confidence every day and would thrive with a family that enjoys peaceful walks, quiet companionship, and plenty of love. Older kids who are kind and gentle would suit her just fine. She is good with other dogs and meets them politely on walks. Maisie lives with another dog in her foster home, and would enjoy a companionable canine roommate. She could also be an only dog. With the most loving heart you could ask for, Maisie is ready to bring warmth and joy to her forever home. She is being fostered in Richfield, MN. APPLY TO ADOPT Maisie at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit.
