Story
Please meet and consider adopting Coco, she's 2. She's the most gentle, snuggly dog, who loves to be next to her people all the time. She doesn't like to be left alone and has accidents if left alone too long. Coco is susceptible to ear infections, requires prescription food, heart worm injections and allergy injections. She had been kenneled trained when she was a puppy but we haven't enforced that lately. She sleeps on our bedroom floor at night but would prefer our bed. She lives with kids and an older dog and does extremely well. She has met a cat and did fine. She is low energy and very affectionate. Coco does well on walks with a gentle leader. Car rides aren't her favorite. She loves to chew rawhides. She doesn't play tug with ropes, or retrieve balls. And she's apprehensive about dog treats. We have a fenced in back yard it's fun to watch her have the zoomies, she's fast! She's a good dog who needs more than we can provide.

Story
A Sweet, Energetic Girl Ready for a Fun, Active Home! I’m a beautiful young dog with lots of energy and an even bigger heart! Right now, I spend a lot of time in my crate while my family is at work, but I’m really hoping to find a home where I can get all my wiggles out with plenty of exercise and playtime. I’d love a big fenced yard to run around in and a family that’s ready to give me the time and attention I need. I’m great with other animals and most people, but I can get a bit nervous with loud noises and fast movements, so a quieter, loving home would be ideal for me. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion and can give me lots of love, I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
I have owned Mack since he was a puppy. He is a purebred dog and was purchased from Cashman Kennels in Elko, Mn. The kennel has produced many great dogs and has a long history of breeding top quality Labradors. He is a trained hunting dog for waterfowl and pheasants. I am no longer able to care for Mack due to health reasons. He is 10 going on 11. However he shows no signs of slowing down and recently hunted pheasants for 4 days straight with no issues. He appears to have much life left to live. He has gone every where with me and has become increasingly anxious when I leave him. The best new owner would be one who can include him in their daily life and be patient as he adjusts. I would only consider placing him into a home that can assure me they will make him a large part of their life. I would be willing to pay for the neutering.

Story
Gunner is an adorable sable male GSD. Gunner lost his mom suddenly and needed a place to go, so we took him in. Gunner had a knee surgery previously, so he does walk a little funny, but that does not stop him from playing with his jolly balls! Gunner should be the only dog in the home at this point in his life. He is crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Experience needed for Gunnar, he’s a great dog, but needs a strong handler. If you are interested in learning more about Gunner, you can apply on our website www.skylarsscholarships.org (the application is listed under the “more” tab).

Story
Meet Champ, a striking 75-pound blend of Doberman Pinscher and Staffordshire Terrier, with a heart as big as his physique. This charming gentleman is on the lookout for a special lady to call his own. Champ takes his fitness seriously and loves to stay active. His long legs make him a fantastic runner, especially when he's bounding through winter snow on exhilarating trail runs. He's even a pro at solo fetch, enthusiastically tossing a toy and retrieving it with zest. Champ's game for a flirtatious tug of war, making him an excellent muscle-building partner. After a good workout, Champ indulges in some self-care by tending to his dental hygiene with chew toys by the fireside or a well-deserved Kong filled with peanut butter and a tasty milkbone. He may take a bit of time to warm up to new people, but once he's comfortable, his affection knows no bounds. Champ absolutely adores bedtime snuggles, relishing the role of the big spoon to keep you warm on those chilly nights. Champ would thrive in a home without shared walls, as he takes his job as your protector seriously and will alert you to any passerby with his enthusiastic barks. While he's great with other dogs, Champ isn't a fan of cats or small creatures. Due to his exuberance, he's best suited for a household with older children, preferably in middle school or above. When it comes to adults, Champ is looking for a home where he can be the center of attention among adult women. He's had some tough experiences in the past, likely with male figures, and prefers to avoid competition for affection. This wonderful boy would also benefit from a family with prior experience with bully breeds and confident, strong leadership. Champ isn't just brawn and good looks; he's also quite the smarty. He's already mastered commands like "sit," "shake," and "drop" during his time in foster care, and he's eager to learn more from his special lady. With impeccable manners, he's a joy to take out on the town, strutting his stuff with the leash in your capable hands. Champ is a sweet and playful companion seeking the perfect lady to be his exercise partner, snuggle buddy, and evening date. If you think you might be the one he's been waiting for, please send an application to his foster, and they'll arrange that first unforgettable date. ##1329389##

Meet Tinsley: The Freckle-Faced Adventurer Ready for Her Forever Home! Tinsley is a stunning, one-of-a-kind pup with delicate freckles and beautiful black eyeliner that highlights her soulful eyes. Her personality is just as unique and endearing as her looks, and she’s been waiting patiently for her chance to find a family to call her own. A Social Butterfly in the MakingCurrently living harmoniously with both cats and dogs, Tinsley gets along well with her furry companions. She’s a little shy when meeting new people, but with the help of a confident dog in the home, she blossoms and gains courage. She loves spending time at the lake and has recently discovered the joy of retrieving balls. Watching her excitement as she dashes back to shore with her prize is like watching someone win the lottery—pure joy and tail wags! Great with Kids and Adventurous at HeartTinsley thinks kids are awesome, but older, responsible children are the best fit for her since she has a bit of a wanderlust streak. She’ll slip out the door for an unscheduled adventure if given the chance, so a family that enjoys intentional outings and keeps a watchful eye on her would be ideal. Hiking, exploring, and playing fetch are right up her alley! A Journey of ResilienceTinsley’s road to rescue is a testament to her strength and love. She and her canine companion were surrendered to a shelter in Texas, where she gave birth to two sweet pups while waiting for her chance at a better life. She traveled to Minnesota with her puppies, raised them in a loving foster home, and watched them find their forever families. Now it’s Tinsley’s turn to find the home she so deserves. Why Tinsley is Perfect for YouTinsley is a sweet, gentle, and playful dog who thrives in a home where love, patience, and adventure are in abundance. She’s looking for a family that will cherish her, help her continue to build her confidence, and keep her safe while satisfying her curious spirit.
