Story
My friends taking care of me are hoping to find me a home so they can make room in foster homes for more pups in need.I’m Nutella and am from Alabama. My foster momma says I should dream big because I deserve my biggest dream. So here it goes. My wish is to find my forever home. A home that is going to love me unconditionally for all that I am. See I only have three legs. After I was hit by a car in 2023 the doctors did everything they could to save my leg however the best thing for me was to amputate in April 2023. I’ve had to adjust lots since then however I’m a Warrior! These amazing humans from Warrior Dog Rescue brought me to Minnesota where more amazing humans brought me into their home, have shown me so much love, and taken care of me while I continue to heal. They have taken me to a special dog therapy doctor. I have a special bed I lay on every day that is really helping me feel better. I also take some really good medication that helps me feel better too. Our goal is to one day not need all of them. We are working on my walking. I can walk about five minutes and then I need to be done but each week I can another 5 minutes and see how I do. I do get pretty sore but we are confident in time I’ll be able to walk longer. It’s hard to keep me down :) I’m in what the humans call my adolescence stage. Where I can be a little stubborn and sassy. I need a family that will understand my breed and need for at times to have some space and make me take “breaks” as my foster mom calls them. See sometimes I don’t know what’s best for me and I need to take a break. I dream of a home that will have a fenced in yard to keep me safe. As much as I like to play with the dogs I live with (4 of them), I might like being the only dog or one that doesn’t mind me stealing the bones and toys and doesn’t react. I really like the resident cat and we play often. My other dream would be to have a home where they continue to help me on my healing journey and a home without a lot of stairs. My foster mom says I’m the best snuggler and have the softest ears. She giggles when they bounce when I bark. I love snuggling in bed and enjoy the little massages I get. I do really well in my kennel when they leave for work or when they leave me out. I also like to chew on bones and balls. I also like when my foster momma puts out puzzles for me to play with, it keeps my mind busy and really enjoy the treats that are in them. I can’t wait to be able to run in the yard and chase after the ball like I used to. I also love to be outside and find the treasures I bring outside and chew on sticks. I really like being on the boat in the summer. Foster momma also says there are so many things to love about me it’s hard to put in words. Would you consider making my dream come true? --------------------------------------------"Clear the Shelter" PromoFor applications received from 6/15/2024 through 6/30/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups over 1 year old. Story
My friends taking care of me are hoping to find me a home so they can make room in foster homes for more pups in need.My name is Blitz and I'm SO HAPPY to meet you! I love all people, regardless of shape, size or smell. I also love other dogs and desperately want them to play with me! Sometimes I get a little too excited to meet them, so I still need a little reminder to read social cues and understand when they don't want to play anymore. I've also tried to play with cats, guinea pigs, and chickens (they all turned me down, but boy am I interested in them!)I'm a big boy, so I'm learning new skills every day to make sure that I don't overwhelm people with my love. I'm really smart, and really REALLY food motivated, so I'm easy to train. I love my kennel, and I sleep in there every night without issue. I'm totally house-trained, and I let my people know when I need to go outside by tapping on the door. I am good on a leash and in the car; as long as I'm with my pack, I'm happy to do whatever! I do take a daily medication for a quirky condition I have, but I take my pills easily and without problem. This doesn't affect my quality of life AT ALL, and the doctors say that as long as I take my daily (affordable) meds, I will live a long happy, and healthy life. Do you want to snuggle? Watch movies? Go for a run? Sit outside for hours? I'm up for all of that! I just want a family that I can share my surplus of love with! Is that you? Let's find out! --------------------------------------------"Clear the Shelter" PromoFor applications received from 6/15/2024 through 6/30/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups over 1 year old. Story
My friends taking care of me are hoping to find me a home so they can make room in foster homes for more pups in need.*Trace’s adoption fee has been sponsored thanks to a generous donor*Hi, my name is Trace! I have been told I am a sweet little lady who has stolen many hearts. I am named after the artful technique of tracing, and I bring a unique story waiting to unfold – a story of love, companionship, and the beauty of creating lasting connections. The beginning of my story is not what my friends would have wanted for me. But, the best of my story is yet to come!I came to Warrior Dog in August as an expectant momma. My 10 puppies were born via emergency c-section in mid-September. I have spent the last 8 weeks caring for and teaching my artful babies in the art of being good dogs. I keep hearing that I am an excellent teacher! Some things to know about me: I am a gentle and affectionate soul. Some of my favorite things are the people I know and trust. With my history, I like to take some time to truly trust new humans. But, once I do, I will wiggle my way right into your heart. I am told that I am a very smart girl who will definitely be a motivated learner. I have learned so many new things since coming to MN – I have learned to walk on a leash, learned to approach humans for affection, and have learned to trust multiple people I see on a regular basis. Also, I have some serious leaping ability – 4 foot fences are nothing for me.I am still very unsure about other dogs in my space. Before coming to MN, I never lived inside a home so i never had to share my space like that before. My humans can say for sure that I am house trained and kennel trained! My foster mom says these are great qualities to have! My friends here say to know me is to love me. Are you ready to fall in love? I am ready and waiting to draw myself into your family portrait to make it complete!--------------------------------------------"Clear the Shelter" PromoFor applications received from 6/15/2024 through 6/30/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups over 1 year old. Story
My friends taking care of me are hoping to find me a home so they can make room in foster homes for more pups in need.Hi There! I’m Eddie, a big hunk of a guy that people and dogs alike instantly fall in love with. Let me tell you a bit about myself- I love being outside in the yard- running, chasing a ball, exploring, and wrestling with my 4-legged foster brother. I've even mastered the doggie door! I love going on walks and am doing well not pulling on my leash. I happily go into my kennel when I hear the word "kennel" and am offered the tiniest bit of cheese at bedtime and when my foster family is gone from the house. My foster mom works a hybrid job and when she is home, I'm just the best assistant for her and lay quietly near her without distracting her. I am a super chewer and hard sticks and balls keep me busy and happy for hours. I'm told I'm pretty smart and know how to sit, down, and belly up. I'm pretty smart and can learn lots more too. I just want to be the best boy for my family. Speaking of families, I just love all kids, and all dogs and will be such a great addition to your family. I'm just a happy guy with a permanent smile and tongue out, who loves a scratch behind the ear, looking for his forever people. Is that you?--------------------------------------------"Clear the Shelter" PromoFor applications received from 6/15/2024 through 6/30/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups over 1 year old. Story
My friends taking care of me are hoping to find me a home so they can make room in foster homes for more pups in need.Hi everyone! My name is Emmie Lou and I am the sweetest gal you'll ever meet! When I first meet new people I'm a bit shy, but I am ready for snuggles right away! After a little time, I start to build my confidence and my sweet, goofy side comes out! I live with a foster brother and sister who are much bigger than me. I love running and playing with them and they are doing a good job of teaching me the ropes. I am submissive and roll over pretty much right away. I would love to live with another dog that likes to play, but could be your only dog too if you promise to play with me and give me lots of activity. I like to run around in my fenced-in backyard when we get the zoomies. I love having a fenced yard but I would probably be just fine without one if we could go for walks.I live with a 3-year-old human foster that I'm not so sure about yet. I love to give face kisses and sometimes it seems like he doesn't like it - weird, right? I would probably do best with kids that are just a bit older than him since my foster parents say I don't realize how strong my kisses come on and I might knock little kids over.I have access to my foster parent's bedroom at night where the crate is but I've just been sleeping in the big bed cuddling with my parents.I am just the sweetest girl and love to snuggle. Are you my furever family? I would love to meet you!!--------------------------------------------"Clear the Shelter" PromoFor applications received from 6/15/2024 through 6/30/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups over 1 year old. Story
My friends taking care of me are hoping to find me a home so they can make room in foster homes for more pups in need.Hi! My name is Pammy!I arrived in Minnesota in February. I was a little nervous starting out, but I am adjusting extremely well. I also found out that while I like running and playing in the snow, I do enjoy a good Minnesota summer as well! I am fully potty trained and sleep in my kennel all night! I do a great job being in my kennel during the day when my foster mom goes to work, but boy am I happy to see her when she gets home! My foster mom says she is pretty impressed with me! In my foster house there are currently three other doggos to keep me company and help me learn the ropes of being a good girl. I am a quick learner and love running around in the backyard, playing and chasing with my friends. Also, I do enjoy being around people! I can be shy at first, but do warm up quickly. I love snuggles and pets alike! I will hop up next to you on the couch and gently paw asking for attention. I love giving the puppy dog eyes, it works fantastically for getting all of the pets!I would love for your home to be my furever home and I promise to show you how much love I have to give! --------------------------------------------"Clear the Shelter" PromoFor applications received from 6/15/2024 through 6/30/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups over 1 year old.
