Story
Leia is a 4 year old hound mix who loves a good blanket snuggle, a game of tug-o-war, and sniffing her way through the woods. She is high energy and needs plenty of exercise and will thank you with endless kisses and a full body tail wag. She has received some training and listens well to a handful of commands (sit, down, stay, in), and does fairly well with walks (especially when you have treats on hand to help motivate her to listen)- she can get hyper-focused when she finds a trail to sniff. She is reactive to other dogs on leash and will pull and bark. She has a high prey drive, so shouldn't go to a home with cats or other small pets. She has lived in a home with two small children does well with them, but she does jump on visitors due to her excitement and love for humans. We are looking to rehome her because we simply are not able to give her the exercise and space she needs to be her best self- she would be a wonderful, endlessly loving pet for an active, experienced dog owner.

Story
Adopted her from the rescue in Brewster last year April. She is about to make 2 years in November. I think she would thrive in a family where numerous people can contribute to taking care of her and giving her attention. She is such a lover and loves to gives kisses. She is super energetic so also with someone that likes to run or if you have access to a field even better. She can also be a lazy bug at times during the day, but will have lots of energy at night. She just needs love and affection.

Story
Oso is the sweetest dog I have ever come across. I got him from a shelter when he was 11 months old. His history is mostly unknown but he was not treated well as a puppy. When we adopted him we were told to open him up to the world slowly (which we did). He is still an anxious pup but for the most part, he is super chill. He loves to cuddle and will let you rub his stomach for hours on end. He just wants to be close, he would rather follow behind you all day than play with his toys. Oso needs a lot of love. He does have a few minor medical issues that need to be addressed (nothing long-term). He is house trained and should go out at least every 2-4 hours. He is very nice to other dogs. He loves to eat and will do anything for a treat. His one con is that he barks at other dogs on the TV. Overall, he is the absoluthe best. He needs someone who will spend a lot of time with him and love him like family. He should go to the vet for any issues, don’t try to handle them at home.

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Kids 16 +Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesLilac is a sweet, lazy girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can play some fetch and then curl up in the dog bed and take a nap (her two favorite things). Lilac is wonderful with other dogs when properly introduced, and she loves to play. She would love a fenced yard to romp in. She can be leash reactive to new dogs, and though she has improved with training, this will always be something she needs to work on. For this reason, proper intros are a must with her.  She is also ecollar trained. so her perfect home would continue this training with her. She excels with structure and routine.Where Lilac still struggles greatly is with meeting new people in the home. Outside the home, and even a the vet, she is generally fine. When people that she does not know very very well come into the home, Lilac should be crated, leashed, or muzzled. She needs to be slowly introduced to new people, but once she gets to know you very very well, she's all in and is the kissiest, snuggliest girl.  She is even very sweet to pretty much everyone while muzzled, so that's an easy fix to keep her safe.  When people she does not know come into the home, she can get vocal,  but when introduced while muzzled she does fine.  Because of her reactivity to new people, a single family home is the best fit for her. She would not do well in an apartment. Lilac has had a long road, and while she has come a long way, she is very much still a work in progress. With the right family she will do just fine.Lilac's issues have happened in the past when her intros to new people coming into the home were not controlled.  So I can't emphasize enough that she needs to take it slow with new people :) But she will reward you for sure once you get to know her. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesYou’ve heard of the Great Houdini, but without further ado, allow us to introduce the Great Santini!Unlike Houdini, the only trick Santini will pull is wiggling her way into your heart.Santini is a wonderful dog that has spent the last few months refining her training skills. Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
