Story
Nala is a very sweet dog! We rescued her from a shelter 1.5 years ago. She loves long walks and playing with any soft squeaky toy she can find. Nala loves mealtime but displays food aggression when other animals are present. For this reason Nala will need to be placed in a home where there are no other pets. She will need someone who is experienced with dogs who have a past history of fear induced aggression. She does have anxiety and is very wary of men. A female owner or a couple who will show her the patience that she needs is preferable. We avoid dog parks because she does not do well with smaller breeds. She is OK with some other bigger breeds but always use caution. Nala will thrive in an environment where there are no children and no other pets in the house. Nala would benefit greatly with someone to work on her training, also!

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Kids 16 +Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesLilac is a sweet, lazy girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can play some fetch and then curl up in the dog bed and take a nap (her two favorite things). Lilac is wonderful with other dogs when properly introduced, and she loves to play. She would love a fenced yard to romp in. She can be leash reactive to new dogs, and though she has improved with training, this will always be something she needs to work on. For this reason, proper intros are a must with her.  She is also ecollar trained. so her perfect home would continue this training with her. She excels with structure and routine.Where Lilac still struggles greatly is with meeting new people in the home. Outside the home, and even a the vet, she is generally fine. When people that she does not know very very well come into the home, Lilac should be crated, leashed, or muzzled. She needs to be slowly introduced to new people, but once she gets to know you very very well, she's all in and is the kissiest, snuggliest girl.  She is even very sweet to pretty much everyone while muzzled, so that's an easy fix to keep her safe.  When people she does not know come into the home, she can get vocal,  but when introduced while muzzled she does fine.  Because of her reactivity to new people, a single family home is the best fit for her. She would not do well in an apartment. Lilac has had a long road, and while she has come a long way, she is very much still a work in progress. With the right family she will do just fine.Lilac's issues have happened in the past when her intros to new people coming into the home were not controlled.  So I can't emphasize enough that she needs to take it slow with new people :) But she will reward you for sure once you get to know her. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, older childrenCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesBoris Chief is a lovable goof who is committed to living life to the fullest! This boy has a huge personality and has been known to be stubborn and persistent, so he needs an experienced owner who will be a strong leader and ready to love Boris as much as he loves them.Boris Chief is eager to please and very smart so his ideal home gives him the structure, consistency, and routine he needs to be his happiest and most balanced self.  Ask Boris Chief about his perfect day and he’ll tell you all about how he loves to play a good game of fetch in the yard, relax outside with his favorite ball, and  spend time curled up on his bed napping or snuggling with his people. When meeting other dogs, Boris Chief can come off very strong. Even though he just wants to play, his approach may not be appreciated by some dogs. Cats and other small animals are not a good fit for this boy as he is overly interested in them and doesn't understand that they may not want to play and be his friend. Boris Chief loves getting attention from his people and would have no issue being the sole focus of his family's attention.Due to his teenage spunk, it will likely take Boris Chief some time to settle into his new home, so his family will need to be patient and loving with him as he learns what is expected of him. He can be a mouthy when he gets excited or wants attention, and is working on learning ways to express his excitement in a calmer manner.  When given sufficient training and playtime, Boris can be crated for a full workday, and will easily go in his crate for a treat. In a home with limited ambient noise he is very quiet in his crate, but in an active home or building with exterior noises, he can become vocal as he wants to join in on the fun and doesn't want you to forget about him.Boris Chief is the kind of dog who loves his people with his whole heart and is ready to be the loyal best friend they’ve always dreamed of.Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Yes (13+)Crate trained: Working on itHouse trained: YesAce is an adorable pup who adores snuggling, playing tug of war, and hanging out with his humans! Anyone who meets him falls head over heels for this gentle and silly little goofball. He gets along well with many dogs, especially older and calmer ones who can match his mellow energy level, and he has a blast at daycare with his furry friends. Ace is already house-trained and is currently working on crate training - he's a total champ at overnight crating and is actively making progress with daytime crating.A perfect day for Ace starts with a nice walk (where he loves to say hello to new people with a friendly howl!) and then he spends the rest of the day chilling on the couch with his chew toys and his family. He's highly motivated by food and will do just about anything for a tasty treat, so further training should be a piece of cake. He also thrives on routine, so having a schedule will help him settle into his new environment.Ace is the ultimate companion animal - he feels much more confident and comfortable when he's around his humans so he has some separation anxiety, which is slowly improving in his foster home! Because of this, he would do best with a family that is home more often than not. Additionally, he tends to be vocal when anxious (and even when he's happy and excited - this chatty boy loves to say hello!). Ace is best suited for a single-family home.Ace is a fantastic dog who is eagerly waiting to meet his forever family! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
