Story
We adopted "Dipper" from Craigslist 3 years ago and believe he was abused. He is a good, loveable boy who listens well and understands basic commands such as sit, come. Paw and when told to "go to your room". He reluctantly goes to his crate. We have 2 other boys but he doesn't get along well with them and attempts to be dominant. At my age, He has become too much for me to handle. Please assist in rehoming.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.George has a long and sad story with a happy ending coming soon.  One of our volunteers first met George when he was a puppy with little shelter or food.  She would bring him food and lobby for help for him but none ever came.  A few years later and another volunteer met George at our local vet and was so impressed with his friendly demeanor that she followed up with the shelter.  George had been removed from his home for neglect and had been waiting at animal control for his furever family to show up. George is small for a pittie- only about 40 lbs and he is quiet so he continually got overlooked.  The shelter is always crowded and suddenly George found himself on the euthanasia list because he tested positive for heartworm.  He was literally hours from being put down when we pulled him.  Once she met him, our first volunteer realized that he was the grown up puppy she had helped so many years ago and she is now fostering him as he goes through his heartworm treatment.   George can be adopted to a local family willing to take him to our vet(located on the Eastern Shore of VA) for 2 visits to complete his treatment and then one final visit to be neutered.  George has a long life ahead of him and is so deserving of a loving home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2024, 5:23 pm

Story
Reese and Jax are 5 year old pure breed Border Collies. They are absolute love bugs who just loves to cuddle. They are house broken, never chews anything that doesnt belong to them and is pretty low maintenance for the breed. They are being rehoused due to an unfortunate housing situation and is NO FAULT of their own. The family is devastated. They can be adopted together or separately.
