Story
UPDATE: Angel loves everyone, she especially loves her foster dad. She loves playing fetch and loves car rides. She can be left alone while you work with no destruction. She loves her bones, and that will keep her occupied. Angel really would rather be the only dog, though she gets along ok with foster parents 15-year-old calm retriever. She also tolerates puppies. She gets a little jealous when a dog comes near her foster parents. Another dog may work, as long as it is fairly calm, and slow introductions. She does have a mind of her own and does not always come when called. She really is a great dog. She would do best in a home with older children. Angel does walk well on a leash and is housebroken. Story
Introverted homebody seeking introverted homebody. The outside world can be scary. I prefer the comfort of home where I can sit and snuggle with my person. Who is my person you ask? My perfect person is kind, patient, and preferably a woman, sorry fellas I am a ladies’ man. My foster mom tries really hard to take me out to stores and being around other people but that is a bit too chaotic for me. I like my house. I also really love to play with other dogs! I love to be chased and play, in my own fenced in yard, at my house. Did I mention I really like my home? Do you have a home with a fenced in yard? Well, if you do, I would love to be your partner. Ideal home for Zane · Slow patient interactions · Fenced in Yard Required · Calm household without too much noise or commotion · Another dog friend to play with Adoption fee is $450 If you do not hear from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

Story
Leo has continued to settle into our household. We call him a catdog because he loves to perch on couches. He does great with other dogs and loves to follow around our bigger dogs. He did great with holiday parties and meeting new people. He walks well on leash and loves the snow! He can be left out uncrated and isn’t destructive, he is mostly housebroken but is an older gentleman and if it’s been too long, he will have an accident. He knows sit, working on down, he comes when called. He isn’t as snuggly as he’s gotten more comfortable in the house but is still a shadow that will always be nearby. He’s quite playful and loves his stuffy pig and acts younger than his age! I think he’d do better in a home with other dogs as he’s spent most of his life living with least dogs. He hasn’t been cat tested but he might do well living with a cat as well. Leo is a 10yr old whose owner surrendered to an overcrowded southern shelter. Leo has been brought up to date on shots, neutered, had a dental and bloodwork done. He is now heading to Maine to find his retirement home. Leo will be here 12/7. He will be fostered in Scarborough. Story
Kobe is a mixed breed young dog coming to us from Costa Rica. He loves other dogs, especially girl dogs. He is very friendly to both dogs and people. Kobe loves to play. I think his ideal match would be a home with another dog, ideally female, or a friendly male. Kobe is also good with cats. He will be in Maine on 1/18 and will be fostered in Lewiston. Adoption fee is $450 If you do not hear from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

From his foster: Plays well with other dogs, loves to cuddle and get hugs. Sleeps through the night and house trained. Will need to be fed separate from other dogs. Butler is a 1 yr old 60-pound Mastiff mix. She is big, playful and energetic and has a real zest for life. Butler is also very polite and knows sit and down. She takes treats very gently. She will be here 2/22 looking for a family. She will be fostered in Bristol. Adoption fee is $475 If you do not hear from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

Story
Foster update: Bean is such a happy soul, there isn’t a mean bone in his body. He is an absolute baby who loves everyone and everything. He loves on and kisses his foster parents and the other dogs in the home; this boy is all heart. Bean is the best-behaved dog - he is learning basic commands, has a calm energy, loves to nap on his dog bed, and loves attention! Bean learns very quickly and is food motivated. Once he knows the routine and what is expected, he does not push boundaries - he is eager to please and craves affection. Bean is smart and enjoys food puzzles and games. He LOVES toys and carries one in his mouth when he’s excited, feeling happy, or when it’s time for breakfast/dinner. Most of all, Bean loves his people and wants to be with his pack. He is a cuddler and shares space and affection with other dogs in the home. Bean would benefit from another playful dog in his new home since he adores his canine friends, and is submissive. I can take toys, food, and bones away from him, no issues. He takes food from our hands very gently, with nice manners. Waits patiently for his meals and hasn't shown any resource guarding. For the first few weeks, Bean was nervous about going into a crate. We crate 2 days a week, just to get him used to it if his forever family needs to use one. He did great once he was in, it was just the going in part he didn’t like. I throw a treat in every time he goes in, and now he walks in confidently on his own! Not one peep from him when he’s crated. Bean does great being left alone without issues (crated or not). Bean will need to work on leash manners, based on his size (70 pounds) and strength. We have started to condition/expose him to a gentle leader rather than collar and leash and this should help! When I've taken him to tractor supply and parks, he does great! Enjoys meeting other people and dogs, and is easy-going about it. Also enjoys car rides! Bean is aware of what is happening around him, and keeps an eye on the property/perimeter. He alerts to people who come to the home/driveway. What more could you ask for?! This handsome boy is extremely friendly and ready for his new home. Bean is a 3-yr old Boxer mix whose time was up at a southern shelter. Because he was such a great boy and a shelter favorite he needed a ticket out. Bean is a super sweet and goofy boy. Not only is he housebroken but he is great with dogs, kids and cats. He is fostered in Newport ME. Bean foster update: Bean LOVES to play with toys and carries one in his mouth at all times!! He does settle when he needs to and loves to cuddle. He has so much love to give, he's such a happy soul. He is pretty bomb proof - not scared of sounds or new things. Bean would REALLY benefit from another big dog to play with in his new home. He really loves other dogs, and seems submissive when it comes to play. I can take toys and bones away from him, no issues. He hides his bones, which is cute. He takes food from our hands very gently, nice manners. Waits patiently for his meals and hasn't shown any issues with food sharing or handling. I don't see signs of resource guarding so far. Bean doesn't like going INTO a crate, but once he's in, he's fine. Bean will need work on leash manners, but I think he would do much better using a gentle leader rather than collar, based on his size and strength! When I've taken him on car rides or in public, he does great!! He knows his name and knows the word "ball". Plays fetch very well! We are working on "sit". He does jump up gently for affection and to lick us all over neck/hands. He's so desperate for love, but too big to jump, so we're working with him on that. Bean is a great dog and can be left alone without issues. He stays close to people and hasn't tried to chase the deer and birds in the backyard. Watches life quietly with curiosity. So far not a barker at all. If you are looking for a big, gentle, and playful boy who would love you forever, he's your guy!
