Mabel absolutely has shepherd in her! She loves to have a “job” to do! She will herd people and animals alike, but her favorite thing is to keep everything on a schedule. She is very bonded with her “sister” (adopted a year after she was & looks scarily similar to her even though they are unrelated!) and loves to keep her in check. Ideally these two would be adopted together. Lenny is much more timid & likes to observe the world around her before interacting with it. She is easily spooked sometimes, but she is also wildly adventurous! She is the sweetest & most loving girl! Mabel seems to be her structure & comfort.

Story

Betty is a sweet, gentle girl who was found wandering the LSUE campus in Eunice, La. She is medium sized around 25-30lbs. We think she may be pregnant. We cannot keep her long term- we do not have the room for her and our yard is not equipped for an animal. She is currently on a tie-out during the day and sleeps indoors in a crate at night. She does well with the crate and has not had any accidents in the house. She would do well with a fenced in yard. We have a 3 year old toddler and a cat and she has been gentle with both. She is young and high energy.

10 month old Bentley was taken from someone who was attempting to throw him in the dumpster. At 10 weeks old the tips of his ears had been cut and his front legs tied together cutting off circulation to his paws. He was bleeding and could barely walk. He has since made a full recovery and ready for a good home. He has had all puppy shots and boosters, has been neutered and microchipped, is house trained and crate trained and loves all people and other animals. He is currently 70 lbs at 10 months old so will likely be a large dog. He does have spurts of zoomies and puppy energy but also loves to cuddle and is quite calm for a puppy. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE ABLE TO KEEP HIM INDOORS MOST OF THE TIME as he is quite spoiled and very well behaved inside.

I adopted him a year ago. I was told he was 7, but my vet said he was 7 months old. He has got a lot of energy. He is playful and happy. He herds my new husband’s frenchie, and runs over him when they play. He jumps on people, and will stop when told no because he gets excited. He also herds cats too. My husband is highly allergic. Monty needs a much bigger yard than what we have, since he weighs between 50-60 pounds. He is sweet and will listen.

Mya was rescued off a road in Indian Bayou. The vet believes she is 6-8 years old. Very sweet with humans and wants to be loved, but shy. She has been known to be aggressive towards other dogs when food is involved. (Human or dog food) She can be shy at first but would be the perfect dog if she were the only pet. Our other dogs are just so much smaller than her. She is so loved and we just want to find the perfect forever home for her.
