Story
Bitsy was found wandering around at a hotel in Lexington. She was immediately scooped up for care. UYR was contacted for care. The dogtor determined that Bitsy was essentially a puppy mill momma. While she was undergoing a puppy hysterectomy, the dogtor discovered that Bitsy had good teeth. She did not need a dental! Great news. Bitsy is estimated to be about 8 years old . She is an energetic pup who loves to cuddle. She wants sole attention. She would love to be an only pup with a loving person or couple. She soaks up attention and will become your shadow. She gets along well with other dogs.

Story
I am Jax. A standard chocolate/silver poodle. I weigh 76 pounds. I am the happiest sweetest boy! I love every animal I come across and every human. I am very hyper. Anxiety meds help me but my owner has taken me off because she is home with me. It helps me not be so anxious when she’s gone. I need someone who has time and experience. I know basic commands and I love car rides.

Story
Rubble is 9 months old now. We got him at 7 weeks old and he is such a good boy. He’s a big boy too at75lbs! Unfortunately he doesn’t get along with our other dog, who is a male Jack Russell. We also have 2 adult cats, 1 male and 1 female, and he hasn’t shown any major sign of aggression towards them but more like he wants to play or is curious by them. From what we’ve been able to gather since raising him from a pup is that he needs a home where he is the only animal, just to be on the safe side. He is great with people, even strangers to the home. And he is great with kids as well that live in the home with him. Rubble loves to fetch and tug outside with you and he loves to snuggle and be a big heavy weighted blanket for you as well! This is our first time having to do anything like this and we put the $20 adoption fee on him to weed out people who aren’t serious and want to abuse his breed. Thank you for taking time to look into our boy and take care.

Story
This is Akira (uh-keer-uh). We fell in love with her while visiting the shelter one day and immediately added her to our family. We've recently entered a hardship which has forced us to move and we can no longer provide her the space or time she deserves. We were told she's a little over a year old (estimated birthday to be 8/12/2022) and is presumed to be a Greyhound mix. She has beautiful brindle coloring and looks a bit like a tiger. I am also able to provide the vet records the shelter provided to us for your safe keeping. She is currently on heartworm preventative and up to date for shots until around August of 2024. She was spayed 8/17/2023. She is a big sweetheart and enjoys interactive play time and lots of snuggles. She's very energetic and her favorite thing in the world are bones.
