Story
Chip is a young adult terrier mix, that has found himself in need of a new home. You see, he came to SPCHS when he was just a pup, was adopted quickly. Now, a little over 2 and a half years later, his adopters are both working, he's stuck in a their backyard 10-12 hours each workday and his pet parents don't feel that's fair to him. The reason he is stuck outside is because he's decided that it's fun to terrorize the family's cats when no one is looking, so he can not be left alone in the house with them. He also learned how to scale their 6-foot privacy fence -- they've been able to eliminate his escapes by installing an invisible fence wire at the top of their privacy fence. This keeps him contained, but with it getting colder outside -- well it's not the best for him, and he's definitely lonely! The good news is that he can be left alone in the house IF THERE ARE NO CATS. He doesn't destroy woodwork or furniture, and is a perfect gentleman. Chip is a little under 3 years old, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on shots. He is high energy when outdoors, but inside is pretty relaxed. Chip is great around children -- however, he not good with kids under 12, as he has been known to nip at them. He's very athletic and would do well with an active family in which someone will be home most of the time to supervise and play with him when he's outdoors. He is also a big time snuggler who wants to be as close to you as he can be -- ALL THE TIME. He’s very sweet and sensitive, and he’s definitely at his best when he has someone he loves with him. Let him sit with you on the couch or bed and he’s in heaven. He’s good on a leash and is crate trained. Chip needs his time outside and loves to run and play with other dogs, toys and best of all - interactive play with humans. Chip is very smart, sweet, affectionate, well behaved, fun, and happy boy. He loves to be involved in anything that we are doing. His happy place is sitting right beside you. He loves outdoor activities and being able to run full speed. He’s just a great dog -- he's not a barker or whiner.

Story
Bella Bleu will be 3 years old in March 2023, weighs 50 pounds, is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and housetrained. She is used to being crated at night. She is good with other dogs and with children. She tries to play with cats and chases them. She needs a home where she can be inside day and night with her humans, but go out to play in with them (in a safe environment) to burn off some energy. She will need exercise daily, so an active family would be an ideal family for her. She can run and jump like a deer, has springs for feet! Bella Bleu is comical, and with thrive and bring hours of delight to the right family.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Callie is a 45-lb terrier mix. She is very energetic and playful. A home with kids but without cats (she REALLY doesn't like cats) would be great for her! She was adopted by a nice family three and a half years ago, but they are moving far away to a place that doesn't accept pets, so returned her to us. Now 6 and a half years old, she is a super sweet girl, loves sleeping on the bed and loves discovering her yard! She is all about play and foolishness, (and nap-time and treat time) -- so long as she is on her medication. SPECIAL NEEDS: Callie has Addison's Disease. This means that she has an adrenal hormone insufficiency. She takes a monthly shot of Percorten-V which requires a vet visit and takes Prednisone 5mg by mouth every other day to keep her stable. She is currently therapeutic and requires labs every 6 months. It's not contagious, but she requires daily medication and monthly veterinary treatment, which can be cost prohibitive for many folks. She can and will live a long, loving life with the necessary care. Callie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and house-trained. She is past all the puppy-stuff, and will be delighted to be in a new home with lots of fun family activities in which she can participate.

Since he's been in foster care and received love, proper vet care and daily medication, he's dropped 14 lbs! Now, he's a svelte, proper gentleman!
