Story
Meet SallyBreed: Labrador Retriever MixAge: 1 yearWeight: 39 lbsSally is a sweet, gentle 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a shy and cautious nature. Found as a stray and never reclaimed, Sally is still adjusting to her new environment and learning to trust people again. She’s a little hesitant right now, but with patience, love, and understanding, Sally will thrive in a home where she feels safe and secure. At 39 pounds, Sally is a medium-sized dog who is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. Although she’s still in the process of adjusting, she’s already shown that when she’s outside, she feels more comfortable and will approach people for affection. Her shyness can make her a bit apprehensive, especially indoors, so she would do best in a home with kids aged 12 and up who can give her the space and time she needs to feel at ease.Sally’s behavior with other dogs is currently limited to the dog she is kenneled with, so her compatibility with other dogs, cats, and young children is still unknown. She has not yet been assessed for house or crate training, but with consistent guidance, she is sure to pick up these skills quickly. One of Sally’s challenges is walking on a leash. She isn’t quite comfortable with it yet, but when she’s with the other dog on a leash, she does better, showing her potential for improvement. With some training and encouragement, she’ll become a great walking buddy in no time.If you’re looking for a dog who will need a little extra time to adjust but has the potential to be a loving companion, Sally could be the one for you. She just needs someone who is patient and understanding, and in return, she will reward you with her quiet affection.Sally's Adoption Fee is $115.50 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted.
