Story

This is Akira (uh-keer-uh). We fell in love with her while visiting the shelter one day and immediately added her to our family. We've recently entered a hardship which has forced us to move and we can no longer provide her the space or time she deserves. We were told she's a little over a year old (estimated birthday to be 8/12/2022) and is presumed to be a Greyhound mix. She has beautiful brindle coloring and looks a bit like a tiger. I am also able to provide the vet records the shelter provided to us for your safe keeping. She is currently on heartworm preventative and up to date for shots until around August of 2024. She was spayed 8/17/2023. She is a big sweetheart and enjoys interactive play time and lots of snuggles. She's very energetic and her favorite thing in the world are bones.

We pull dogs from the local shelter and place them into temporary homes until we can find them forever homes. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can save. There are more than 6 MILLION dogs and cats euthanized every year. We cannot make a difference alone. We need you to open your home to a dog that would otherwise be euthanized. SENIORMeet Rose! Rose is a 10 year old Hound mix. Rose is a really sweet girl! Rose needs a home that is dedicated to working with her. She craves love and attention, as she really aims to please and wants to work for you! She would need slow introductions with other dogs, as she is an alpha female, and not recommended for a home with cats or dogs (until fully trained). It would be best to have an experienced, strong person. She would take very well to training and it is highly recommended. Because of her hound nose, she would not be allowed liberty until full trained, and she loves to run and might wander off a track! Rose MUST have a tall fenced yard. Meet Stormy! Stormy is a 11 year old Shepherd mix. Stormy is a very social dog, with a high prey drive and easily motivated! She needs an experienced owner, lots of exercise, both physical and mental. She needs to be a ONLY PET. She will need training, but is very intelligent and would take to training with zest! She would make a great dog for SCENT DETECTION, agility, flyball, lure coursing and obedience. You name it, she would love it. She is CRAVING a job! Meet Moo! Moo is a 10 year old old Bull Terrier. Moo is an alpha female with an independent streak, so she needs a very confident and experienced owner. She would do best with a strict schedule, loads of exercise and a lot of training to keep her engaged. Moo needs a home without other animals, and not recommended for a home with children. She would take well to consistent training. Moo would also need a home with a fence. Moo is a love bug, just needs that 'person' that can give her what she needs! Meet Lady! Lady is a 9 year old Lab/Shepherd mix. Lady needs a very competent and experienced owner, one that has had experience in handling GSD/Malinois/Belgain Shepherds before. She would make a great Police Dog as she has a strong desire to be a pack leader and a high prey drive, and would do well with training and having a 'job.'
