Story
Jim is a real sweetheart of a dog. We rescued him out of necessity of him needing a home and vet care. He absolutely loves children and does well with cats, if they don’t run. Does good with horses and cow, however he is a chicken killer and that is the only reason we are rehoming him. Just can’t break him of it. He has been inside outside and does well with either. He is fairly well mannered but is only a year so still kinda puppyish.

Story
Meet Darrell! This poor scared boy was placed on a euthanasia list due to a horrible skin infection all over his body. We rescued him and got him all fixed up, he is unrecognizable now from the scared wrinkly puppy we saw at the shelter! He now has a healthy coat and is blossoming in personality too. At first he can be pretty shy, but he warms right up with a few treats or tosses of his favorite squeaky ball! He uses his ball as a binky and carries it with him everywhere he goes. He is learning what it's like to be a real dog, who is loved and cared for! He likes to go for rides in the car and is a really good rider! His foster parents say he is going to be the best dog ever for some very lucky family. He is also fully potty trained.

He is looking for his furever home. Is that you?

Story
Meet Maddux! This sweet boy came to us from death row at a local kill shelter after he had been dropped off after being found as a stray. He was undoubtedly the skinniest, most starved dog we've ever seen and his poor body was covered in sores. Unfortunately, his tail was so rotten it had to be amputated immediately. Maddux really misses his tail and doesn't understand why humans failed him so much. He is eating well and is at a healthy weight, and also learning to trust new people. He knows every command and is extremely well trained, he will even give you a big hug if you kneel down and ask him! Maddux' is medium/calm energy. His favorite activities are slow strolls and playing with his ball. His ball is his life! He has a very sweet heart overall and just needs a patient person who will help him learn what it's like to live a normal life for once. Maddux would make a great companion. Maddux is sweet, joyful, playful and full of kisses. I'm He is now eating well, has reached a healthy weight, and is learning to trust new people. Maddux knows every command and is extremely well-trained. This soul has a big heart and just needs a patient person to show him what it's like to live a normal life. Maddux Medium/Calm Energy Level, Shy When Meeting New People 67 lbs Good with Dogs-just a bit slow to warm up

Story
Meet Luna! We rescued her nearly 6 years ago back in 2018, she was one of the first dogs we ever saved. She got bounced around to a few homes, but has now been waiting in our shelter for 2 years straight with no foster or adopter home yet. Luna has now grown into a senior dog in our care. She is extremely gentle and calm, all she wants is to cuddle and snuggle all day long. She is very well behaved and acts like a sweet baby. She has some very good dog friends at the shelter, although we don't know how she is with cats. She has seasonal allergies and is also allergic to chicken, so she gets special allergy injections and a very careful diet otherwise she turns very red and terribly itchy. Due to a lifetime battle with severe allergies, Luna really dislikes vets and needs an adopter who understands she needs special vet and medical care. Please be the hero this girl needs, she shouldn't have to wait any longer for a home.

Story
Meet Hercules! This sweet boy was once used for back yard breeding his entire young life. One day he escaped along with his mate and they were put on the euthanasia list. After almost a year with us, Hercules finally found an adopter where he lived the dream life he'd never had. Unfortunately, after a few months he was returned due to a change in their family dynamic. At first he was so nervous and scared and had no clue why he lost his home again. Hercules doesn't understand and we don't know how to tell him it's not because he isn't wonderful and sweet and worth the extra work, it just wasn't a right fit. Hercules needs a home with a dog-smart adopter. He previously had a long year of waiting, and now he is waiting again but we promise with all our heart he is worth it. Hercules lives up to his name, he is strong but his heart is pure. He is loving and kind and will protect you from all bugs (as chasing them is his favorite past time), he will make sure you are never bored and never without snuggles. He will do absolutely anything for his red rocket toys, they are his favorite thing in the world. He is working hard to make new doggie friends and has actually done super well with Butterball, a female pitty. Hercules can sometimes be slow to warm up to men. However for a while, he was very bonded to a male volunteer who even took him on a week-long semi truck tour across the state! He did so great and loved the personal attention. He is a true explorer, loves the wilderness and going on walks, he will pause to listen to the nature and take in the sights.
