Story
Meet Legacy! We rescued this girl from a death sentence over 3 years ago. A kill shelter wanted to put her down until another rescue saved her, but then they abandoned her in the middle of her transport out of the shelter and offered her up for euthanasia also. Terrified and confused, Legacy came into our care instead. In the past 3+ years, we have fallen deeply in love with Legacy and see her life's worth every day. We don't know all her traumas, but we are here to love her just the way she is nonetheless. Legacy does not like other dogs at all and needs a home where she can be safe and never encounter another pup or animal. It's not easy being abandoned and treated so horribly by humans, and despite all the love we have given her these past 3 years, Legacy can still take time to warm up to new people. Legacy needs time to know she is going to be okay, because life is very scary sometimes and she has had a very rough upbringing.
She is a happy, loving, protective, and committed dog, and will be all the love you ever need. She is phenomenal in the car and loves to go on rides. Walks are also one of her favorite things on the planet. Need a cuddle buddy? This potato will have no complaints filling that space on your couch. She also loves to play chase and tug-of-war.
As beautiful as she is on the outside, she has scars-both physical and those unseen. She is pretty easily won over with some mozzarella sticks, but a deep bond takes time, and once she trusts you with her whole self, watch out, because this is 65 lbs of pure love. You can see it shine in her eyes, just this deep, complete love. She is not overly hyper. She is not good with dogs, cats, small children, or vacuums.
She had a foster for a long time, who loved her deeply but eventually couldn't keep rotating her own dogs with Legacy's need to be the only pup. They said Legacy was fiercely loyal, a total sweetheart, and a good protector.
Legacy's life matters, she deserves a chance to be loved, please consider loving her like we do.
