My name is Iris Jean and i love to run. My family doesnt have enough room for me in their yard and I need a job to do. I can be stubborn but i am kind of a scaredy cat. I am very vocal and love to have conversations. cuddling it my favorite and id love it more if you held my paw. I love kids and being outside. Please give me a chance!! She is very timid and shy as she was when I adopted her. She really needs a home fast. My neighbors have been complaining about her because she barks some when there dogs bark. I have tried multiple times to rehome her to different people but have no luck. She can be a great dog for someone who has a job for her to do. I think that is what she is missing in her life. She can sit, lay, shake with both paws and is kennel trained. She loves to run and play. Great with other dogs as well.

Jim is a real sweetheart of a dog. We rescued him out of necessity of him needing a home and vet care. He absolutely loves children and does well with cats, if they don’t run. Does good with horses and cow, however he is a chicken killer and that is the only reason we are rehoming him. Just can’t break him of it. He has been inside outside and does well with either. He is fairly well mannered but is only a year so still kinda puppyish.

Leo has a tough story that unfortunately we will never have access to every chapter to. He is a 4-5 year old Cane Corso mix. We think. He was in Wichita on the euthanasia list for heartworms. He received treatment last spring and is heartworm NEGATIVE!! He was found as a stray last February and his owner did not reclaim him. Leo has exhibited a fair amount of fear reactivity. He bonds hard with the right person but he needs a routine. Change can be upsetting for anyone but it seems to hit a sensitive guy like this harder than usual. He needs to know what to expect. Leo NEEDS to be able to trust that you know better than he does. If you're uncertain, he is too. Leo is big on the communication scale. He is extremely expressive with his body language, eyes, ears, face, noises. He's giving us a lot of hints that people who hold things up in his direction are scary. People that corner him are very scary. I can't say I blame him obviously but it's been a long road to get to know him and gather information. Leo is looking for a specific stubborn, strong willed, kind, understanding person with no kids or animals. He has been indifferent towards many animals but within the home he is very protective of his things. He loves car rides, couch lounging and to sun bathe in the backyard. Athena proves how different dogs can act pending environmental or health changes. Athena loves to use her nose, she LOVES her people / family. She's made it clear shes not a "city" dog. She does far better in less traffic / less chaotic situations. She can also climb a tree or two. Athena has done great with me, my dad and my two sons. She has been fine with all of our barn cats. After an adjustment, she's done fine with dogs through neighboring fence lines as well. She has played well with two other dogs at separate times. Athena loves her treat puzzles and snuffle bowls. She loves having a routine and boundaries. She gets SO excited to see me and does the boot scoot zoomie across the yard. Athena loves me so much that if I leave the yard with her in it, she climbs out. I would love to find her an understanding home without big dog park, visitor, leash walk expectations.
