Story
Hi! My name is Sadie but my foster mom likes to call me Lil Bunny cus I like to hop around when I’m outside. I'm a pretty 2 year old girl who loves to frolic and smell the flowers and grass. I love to be outside, but that’s because I spent my first year of life outside on a chain by myself. It was lonely and I didn’t know how great humans were until a couple took me in. It took me time, but I’ve learned I LOVE food and treats. I love to talk and tell my foster mom what I’m thinking and give her kisses. My foster mom has these little furry balls called cats and I’ve learned I like to chase them and they don’t like that. So I think it’s best if I go to a home without cats. As for dogs, I like to introduce myself slowly. Foster mom says I’m still working on manners, but making progress and I’m as sweet as a button once I get to know you. I’ve got a big heart, lots of energy and would love to have a family of my own ?? If you are interested in meeting Sadie, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Story
Espresso is a sweet, playful, and observant girl. She is 1 year old and is a total goofy wiggle butt. Her many expressions are as abundant as her joy, and nothing beats the way she welcomes you home. While her beautiful black coat is striking, it's her eyes that truly tell the story. When it comes to showing affection, she leans against you for rubs and eagerly presents her favorite toy. Espresso never loses a game of hide-and-seek and loves to challenge your tug-of-war skills. She loves to play with other dogs but can be a little possessive of toys at times, so she is being taught to share. For this reason we recommend no small children in her forever home. Watch out for her unexpected zoomies—they're her way of expressing pure happiness. Espresso does well in her kennel, providing peace of mind while you're away. But when you're around, she's always checking in, with her baby-like charm and loves to lounge and sleep as you work. As a companion, she's a “Velcro” dog and finds her confidence when she knows you are present by her side. With your eagerness and plenty of treats, she enjoys learning about her world. While she may be cautious or want to engage with every stranger, it won't take long for her to warm up and consider them her new pillow. If you are interested in meeting Espresso, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Espresso's adoption fee is $200 and includes age appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, deworm.

Story
Mia has made huge progress from when she was found on the streets of Kansas City, Kansas. She is 2 years old and is a small, 30 lb dog with lots of affection to give. She has become a ride along, errand running buddy who loves going to home improvement stores and meeting new people (especially if they give her treats)! When taking treats from her foster or strangers she happily takes it gently. Mia is also excited to go for walks and has been in training with professional dog trainers for the past 6 months to build her confidence and counter conditioning her fear reactivities. Mia has learned a few commands and is great on a leash. She knows sit, wait, with me, come, kennel, and we’re working on leave it. She is kennel trained, and enjoys a peanut butter Kong when she goes in. At home she finds her quiet napping spots after playing in the yard. Her favorite play activities are to chase or be chased and wrestling with her foster sister, and zoomies in general. Being from the street Mia resource guards with other dogs, but she has been making great strides and has been making great strides. She would do best with a larger non-reactive dog who likes to play or as a solo dog. No cats or young children. She can jump a short fence so she will require a tall privacy fence or leash walking for potty breaks. If you are interested in meeting Mia, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Harley is a beautiful and happy 8 year old Husky mix. She adapts easily to most environments and has done well around other dogs and meeting new people! She has not been tested around cats but does not seem to have high prey drive so would likely be ok. She is a food motivated people pleaser who loves kids of all ages. She is still quite energetic and playful but also enjoys a lazy Sunday watching the Chiefs on TV and snuggling up. She travels great in the car and is always up for new adventures. She even did great in the hotel with her foster parents on a road trip! Harley is a great exercise partner and loves long walks/runs. Harley is not overly needy but is the happiest when her people are nearby. Apply today to meet this great girl!
