Story
Pookie is an extremely high energy dog with so much potential. She loves being outside but gets anxious when she can't see you. Pookie is an incredibly sweet dog and loves to give tons of kisses and be right on your lap when she is relaxed. She loves car rides and loves to bask in the sun. She is a super chewer and can tear up nearly any toy within minutes. Pookie really needs someone with an active lifestyle. A new owner would need patience to train her due to her energy level and excitement. She is okay with other dogs but would do best in a single dog home with no small children, at least until you feel that she has been trained and mindful. As much as we love this sweet girl we feel that she would do best with someone who has more time to dedicate to her without small children.

Story
Menu DOGS READY FOR ADOPTION Windiger Farms Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation REINA Reina is a fantastic, beautiful GSD. I would love to keep her for myself. I can’t, though. She is a medium to high energy dog. She is sometimes slightly dominating with other dogs, though I’ve noticed that behavior has leveled out as she has decompressed at our farm. She has met 6 of our dogs with only one very minor altercation (a growl and hackles up) with our more dominant female. I think she would do well with almost any dog with a SLOW INTRODUCTION. Her vet records have her as 1-2 years. She demonstrates a lot of puppy behaviors. She is obsessed with her toys and wants to share them with you. A lot 😆 She alternates between play mode and wanting to chill on the couch. She’s cuddly. She’s a very typical GSD and will be a great guardian dog. She is housetrained. She is current on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. I really want this girl to have a good home. FRANK Frank is the absolute most fun and playful Corgi mix. His vet says he is about four years old. I am thinking his other half is Labrador, as he is high energy and loves to bring you toys. is adorably short legs, Frank is a medium size dog at about 40 lbs. Frank was pulled from an overcrowded shelter in Indiana along with a terrier mix named Possum. Though they have not spent their entire lives together, they are very bonded. I am willing to separate Frank and Possum, but I believe Frank would be sad as an only dog. Frank is not perfect (are any of us?) and will occasionally tear up toys or shoes if left unattended. I recommend crating him when he is left alone. He pulls a bit on the leash and would benefit from a no pull harness. I imagine Frank as being a great family dog. I feel so incredibly comfortable with him around my kids. He does not have a mean bone in his body. He is a precious soul that has been treated poorly his entire life, He needs that special someone to give him the forever home he so deserves. Frank is neutered and current on vaccinations. He did test as low level heartworm positive and is under treatment with the slow kill monthly kill method. His medications will go with him. Please consider adding Frank to your family.

Story
there! /my name is Ramses and I am ready to steal your heart. One look into my sky blue eyes and your heart will surely melt. My last owner didn’t love me and I ended up at a scary shelter in Texas. My rescue mom swooped in to save me just before something really bad happened. I don’t know why I was overlooked. I’m polite, reserved, gentle and kind. I’ll babysit your kids and be nice to your other dogs (you need to introduce me slowly. .Some dogs were mean to me in the past and I get nervous.) I am a wonderful size at just under 50 lbs. I’m neutered, microchipped and ready to crash on your couch and give you lots of love!

Story
Zoe has only been with us for a few days as of August 1st, so we need a little more time to evaluate her. So far, she appears to be the dream dog. At a perfect 40 lbs, she will keep your lap warm without smothering you. She is extroverted, playful and occasionally develops a mean case of the zoomies! Like most of our dogs, Zoe came from a high kill shelter in Texas. There is nothing wrong with her. She was just dumped like so many other wonderful dogs in the area. I believe someone once loved her, Her leash manners are impressive and she knows a few tricks. More to come on this diamond in the rough!
