Story
This is Dora, she’s a female around 3’5 years old. She isn’t fixed as the rescue told us to hold off for a bit when we adopted her (last year) but she has most of her vaccines and got treated for Lyme disease. We are looking to rehome her to a loving and caring home. Someone who has patience and time for her. She’s good with kids, cats and dogs. She has a very calm and gentle nature. She is a rescue dog and needs a lot of love, affection and , she’s quite sensitive but has so much love to give. She loves running, especially in the snow! It would be ideal she went to a home with a fence as we all know great Pyrenees like to bolt! She does always work her way home but we try to avoid that from happening

Story
Oliver is healthy and spry (no one believes that he is 9!) and absolutely LOVES life. He is house trained, crate trained, knows tons of commands, is smart and eager to please, loves kids and is very friendly with people, is a total ham and makes funny noises, and is just a very sweet and likable dog. He is excitable and struggles a bit with impulse control, and while he has made great progress with training (will sit and stay while you get his food, leash, open the door, etc), unfortunately, the thrill of the chase with our cat is too much for him. He should live in a home without cats or other small mammals. He gets very excited and a bit snippy around new dogs, so he may be ok in a home with another dog, but it would require patience and care. He would be easiest in a one-pet household. Oliver wants nothing more than to get belly rubs and strut around the neighborhood like the handsome guy he is. Are you a cat-free home where he can live his best cuddly life?

Story
This is Apollo, a two year old mixed breed. I’ve had him since he was 6 months old and He is an amazing dog. He will be your absolute best friend, he’s got such a big goofy personality and he just wants to love you and be involved in everything you do. He is house trained, he will go in a crate but he doesn’t really like it. I hate to have to rehome him but I don’t have the time or resources to give him what he needs to thrive. He needs someone who is actually able to give him what he deserves and that is not me unfortunately. This is the hardest decision I’ve had to make but he deserves the world and I want to help give that to him. If you’re interested please message me with any questions you might have

Story
Kyle is our longest term canine resident, but luckily he lives in a foster home and thrives on his routine there. Though he doesn't know his star sign, Kyle thinks he is probably a Virgo; he likes order and predictability! He knows just when it is time to go to his crate or outside for his walk, and he'd probably send you a calendar invite for those events if he could. Kyle is incredibly affectionate with his people, wanting to give kisses and sit in their laps. He makes some very funny noises, often sounding like the grouchy old man he is on the inside. He is quite smart and quick to offer a paw in exchange for a treat. Except...it better be the kind he likes, or he'll spit it out. Kyle lives with a male dog and two cats in his foster home. His foster reports that he mostly co-exists and doesn't care much to play with his dog sibling. If interested in Kyle, please email our Outreach and Behavior Coordinator Emily Herr at herre@bloomington.in.gov

Story
Once upon a time, a cool dude led a scary life until he ended up in the home of a devoted foster mom where he learned to sparkle and shine. That foster mom taught him that being a dog can be a lot of fun. She showed him how to have best dog friends, how to get pets, how to be potty trained and how to love. Morty has come a LONG WAY from the hoarding situation he was seized from 18 months ago. He rings a bell to go outside for potty. He initiates play with other dogs and adapts to different play styles. He gets onto the couch with his foster momma for snuggles and curls up next to her bed each night. His favorite things, you ask? - squeaky toys, balls, treat balls, snuffle matsHe loves kibble/yogurt ice cubes, frozen berries, pumpkin, zucchini, carrots, oranges, other dogs and people who give him a chance. Be a part of this young man's journey. Contact us to meet him today!

Story
Alaska is a very sweet gal who loves her people in a big way. While she thought the shelter was a scary place, she has thrived in a foster home. As a six year old lady, she's left her super wild days behind her and is now more interested in chill hangs with cool people.
