Story
Udon is a handsome, athletic, white-and-brown pit. He is likely around 2-3 years old. Udon was found abandoned in a backyard/alley with no food or water. The finder said he had an injured back leg, but by how much he loves to play, you would never be able to tell he was hurt! Udon attended playgroup with several other dogs while he was at the shelter. While he was a little unsure at first, he found a rhythm during play time, and could potentially have a canine sibling with slow introductions. Udon is very food motivated and loves his toys. He would probably do best with older children who are respectful. Udon has a puppy playfulness and loves tennis balls, running around the backyard, and self-entertaining with squeaky toys. However, he is also great at settling down with a peanut butter Kong or taking a nap on his bed. Udon can catch treats mid-air! He is also very gentle taking treats and has a perfect sit. He is a perfect angel in his crate! He has a bright-eyed look, has a sweet energy, is a kind soul, and loves to be by his people. His life started out pretty rough, and he deserves a wonderful home. Udon LOVES car rides and is so athletic! He enjoys hanging out in the backyard and will be your playtime buddy. Three words to describe Udon? Affectionate, playful, and curious! Story
Dorothea came to us as an owner request to euthanize with 12 other dogs. While we do not know exactly what happened in her past life, she’s blossomed into a pup who enjoys life playing with toys, the resident dogs in her foster home, and the couch for snuggles of all kinds. Thea is a sweet energetic brown and white puppy and is around 1.5 years old. She’s tall and lean with big adorable ears. Dorothea will make a great addition to any family with another dog. She thrives with other confident, non territorial, dog friendly dogs. The slower you move with her the faster you will see her blossom into trusting her new surroundings. Dorothea trusts kids easily as they’re close to her level. She likes them to be playmates and need positive reinforced guidance on how to be a good kid playmate. Dorothea would thrive best in a home with another dog friend to help build trust and manners with her new family. She is incredibly submissive and playful with dogs ranging in ages from 1.5-9 years old. Dorothea loves having a toddler around for face level kisses and all the snacks. She’s continuing to work on her manners. She has a high energy level and loves outside- rain, sun, or snow. She lives to: chase her foster siblings in the yard, for toys, and tug. A family that likes to be outside, and/or has a quiet fenced in yard is a must for her. She also needs a family that has a consistent dependable schedule as she thrives in reliable schedules. Dorothea loves her crate and is doing great with potty training. She is a playful silly goose who just wants to be friends with all the dogs and humans she meets. What else could you ask for? Not good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
10-2023 Max is a 4 yr. old, male Husky - Pomeranian mix, aka a Pomsky. Max weighs 35 lbs. Max carries a lot of husky traits, one of which, he is an escape artist! Max is energetic, active, strong, and playful. He loves toys and going for walks. He can be dog reactive, particularly large breed dogs; we have been working on this, he is getting better. Max thinks cats are for chasing, not uncommon for a husky! Max would be OK for a family dog, but only older kids, teens and up, no children under 10 years old. Max is fine in the car as long as he is restrained by doggie seatbelt, or crate, otherwise he is jumping from seat to seat! Max would love to have a securely fenced yard, with a fence 5 feet or taller, to run and round and play, but a fenced yard is not a requirement. Max has the energy of a puppy, so be ready to take multiple walks, runs each day. A well exercised dog is a good dog! Story
Daisy is the sweetest pit-mix with a black and white coat. Daisy was brought back to the rescue when her loving family was unable to continue providing her the best care. She is a sweetheart who deserves to continue being loved as she was. Daisy is the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid back partner in crime. She enjoys her walks, car rides, toys, and chewing on her bones, but she will NEVER say no to a cuddle on the couch and staying in. Daisy does great when she's left alone. She will wait patiently for you to return home and greet you at the door with a wag of her tail. She is a little bit of a puller on walks, but she has already improved and is a very fast learner. Daisy loves meeting new people and meeting other dog friends. She gets very excited when she sees other dogs, but she calms down quickly once she gets her sniffs in. Daisy is currently at a foster home with no children and she came from a home with no kids. Daisy would do best in a home with older kids who understand boundaries. Daisy is the sweetest girl you will ever meet! She knows just how to use her puppy dogs eyes to get exactly what she wants and she will never fail to make your heart melt. Between her floppy ears that bounce when she trots and the way she plays with her toys like she’s still a puppy at heart, she will keep you laughing and your heart melting each and every day. Daisy is easily adaptable to her surroundings. If you’re up for a walk in the park, so is she. If you want to be a couch potato for the weekend, she is right there with you. Daisy is up for anything and everything as long as she gets to spend time with her person. Daisy can’t wait to meet her new furever and anyone would be incredibly lucky to hold Daisy so close to their hearts! Using the word her family used to describe her, Daisy is “Crazy Daisy”. But using three words of our own, she is content, goofy, and loving once she opens up and feels safe. Daisy is looking for a family that will be patient and just love her unconditionally. Story
Ellis is a senior, gentle giant with black and white markings. Ellis was an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. Unfortunately, his parents split up and could no longer care for this sweet boy. He came back to PFP and has been getting all the walks, snuggles and “good boys” he deserves! Ellis has soooo many reasons you should scoop him up right now! He is very gentle and loves the attention from kiddos. Ellis likes to lay with his head on the kids' lap and nap. However, Ellis would be best in a house with kids 7+ due to his large size, and his slight clumsiness, and because he sometimes forgets how big he is. Ellis also would do well with other dogs. He does not react to dogs he sees on walks, he just keeps on trottin’ happily! He’d enjoy another playful dog buddy who also likes to snuggle after walks and play time. Despite his age, he has a lot of pep in his step. He loves spending time outside and enjoys long walks. He will have spurts of energy and enjoys playing tug o’ war and low intensity play with crinkly toys. He doesn’t play fetch, he’d rather watch you throw and retrieve the ball. He’s on the lower end of energy, so as long as the family is willing to walk, Ellis would be more than happy to snooze afterwards and snuggle on the couch. He loves going for family walks and extremely quiet inside and outside of the house. He is a true angel and gentle giant! He deserves the best home where he is able to live out his golden years. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart & big boy who is calm and has a great temperament, Ellis is your guy. As if you needed more reasons, here's Ellis' current resume of skills: -crate trained -knows "sit" -knows "lay down" -knows "paw" -gentle when taking treats -potty trained -gives great kisses and cuddles -references describe him as "Gentle, intelligent, and loyal" Looking for a playful cuddle bug to complete your home?
