Story
Summer is a 3-year-old Pitbull mix that needs a home where someone can spend a lot of time with her. She loves her family and home but is protective of them and sometimes doesn't know how to act. She needs a home preferably without children and in a home without a lot of traffic (in and out of the house). She really is a sweet girl but is sometimes unpredictable with her behavior (with people coming to the door and over the bed/couch). She has lashed out at our child over the couch and the bed. We love her and want her to go to a loving experienced home. We are just overwhelmed with the unpredictable behavior and cannot give her the training she needs.

Story
We are seeking a new home for Huk because he does not get along with our dog who is his litter mate. When not around his brother, Huk is a model dog - very polite, mild mannered and loves to cuddle and play ball. He does not beg at the dinner table. He knows sit, shake sometimes kiss. We are working on stay. He would be a great 1 dog family since he is uncomfortable and shows aggression towards other dogs.

Story
Due to new apartment rules and my schedule, we cannot keep our 70-pound dog. We received Bleu from relatives of a friend about a year and a half ago. We kept his ironic name, although he is red. The relatives lived in the country where he liked to run around with other dogs. There were cats there also, but we have not seen how he does with cats or little children. He is calm with people he has been with for a short time. Bleu is very well house-trained and crate-trained. He is white with rust-brown leopard-like spots. He is very intelligent and active. He likes to sleep in the same bed with people. He likes attention, petting and walks. Regarding his weakness, he likes to get in the garbage and will steal food, if he thinks you will be out of the room long enough for him to get it. He is a good guard dog. He will notify you when people are around the house. We have never seen him hurt anyone or another animal, but he is aggressive toward some strangers. We let new pe

Story
Hello world, meet Grey! Grey had a rough start to life, and came to IEBR when she was almost six months old. She has come so far in her healing and has blossomed into a goofy and loving young lady! Grey was born with spina bifida, a congenital defect of the spinal cord. As a result, she has some weakness in her hind limbs and is a fully incontinent diaper girl. When she came into rescue, this sweet baby also had two partially torn cranial cruciate ligaments in her knees, but they are scarring over and stabilizing without surgery and her mobility and endurance have increased tremendously in the past several months. Grey has the sweetest disposition, loves all people, and is friendly with other dogs. A playful fur sibling would be a dream come true for her. Also on her wish list are a comfy couch, someone to give her shoulder massages and snuggles, and access to as many tennis balls as possible. Grey has three modes: sacked out and snoring, sweet and cuddly, and up and ready to play and won’t leave you alone until you throw her ball at least a few times. Her puppy energy comes out in little bursts throughout the day and she gets restless without daily exercise, so play time and/or daily short walks are a must. The rest of the time she is happy to nap on the back of the couch, where she can enjoy both the view and the sunbeams. Grey’s ideal living situation would be a home with few stairs and access to a fenced yard for play. Her regular physical maintenance includes all of the normal bulldog stuff like cleaning face wrinkles and ears, administering eye ointment for her dry eye, and moisturizing her cute little nose as needed. In addition, Grey requires diaper changes every 3-4 hours during the day. Her skin is prone to irritation, so each change includes a thorough cleaning and application of diaper cream and Aquaphor. Her foster parents strongly recommend using a sturdy changing table; this is what Grey is used to and it makes her maintenance so much easier! Grey requires daily diaper-free “naked time” to allow her skin to breathe and air out. She is currently crated with no diaper overnight and any time her foster parents need to be away from home longer than 3-4 hours. Her crate needs to be cleaned daily and her bedding laundered. Grey would like her future family to know that bathtime is the BEST time, especially when a peanut butter lick mat is involved. As soon as she hears someone getting a towel from the linen closet, she runs straight to the tub! Grey has gotten along so well with other puppies, younger dogs, and her senior foster brother. She does get warned off on occasion for being too enthusiastic and affectionate but she responds well to this and backs off when she needs to. Grey enjoyed the company of her littermate Frida until she was about 8-10 months old, at which point Frida developed aggression toward Grey (which is common in littermates). She lives every day like it’s Tongues Out Tuesday and greets every morning like it’s the Best Day Ever. What more could you wish for? This sweet, sensitive, goofy girl will be a loyal and loving member of a lucky forever family! If you are interested in Grey please visit our website: www.ilenglishbulldogrescue.org, and read through our adoption criteria to see if you meet our requirements. If you do, please fill out an application to adopt. Greys's adoption fee is $550.00 Visit us on Facebook: Visit us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IllinoisEnglishBulldogRescue

Story
This is Sofi, Sofi is 6 years old. You might remember that Sofi came in with her brother Larry. When we get dogs from the same family, we like to keep them in the same foster home if at all possible, to determine if they are a bonded pair. We quickly realized that Sofi and Larry are not bonded. In fact, they are very independent of one another. Sofi’s foster mom says this about Sofi. “She is an absolute snuggle bug”. “She is an easy dog who doesn’t require much except for your love and snuggles”. With that said, Sofi is being treated for anxiety. She is on a low dose anti-anxiety medication 2x daily. Sofi is fully house broken. She tolerates other dogs but doesn’t love to have them take her humans love. She currently lives in a home with her sibling Larry and another foster and is good with them (no food or toy aggression) but would thrive in a home where she is the only dog. For this reason, we are looking for a family that will make Sofi their one and only! Are you looking for an absolute snuggle bug to fill your heart with love? If so, Sofi is your girl. Sofi will be ready for adoption very soon. If you think Sofi is a fit fill out your application today!! If you are interested in Sofi please visit our website: www.ilenglishbulldogrescue.org, and read through our adoption criteria to see if you meet our requirements. If you do, please fill out an application to adopt. Sofi adoption fee is: $600.00 Visit us on Facebook: Visit us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IllinoisEnglishBulldogRescue
