Bane

German Shepherd Dog Husky

Chatham, IL
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My husband has had Bane for several years- he was a stray previously and was adopted from the pound. My husband and I got married a little less than 6 months ago and with that came a combination of 5 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. Unfortunately it is all just too much to handle and my poor dogs are getting the short stick of it all. There are some also some personal health issues involved as well. I would love to see all three go to a new home together, but that is not required. Bane has been to doggy training school in the best and is very well behaved. He knows sit, lay, watch me, come, and speak. He is completely house trained and he used to be crate trained (we ran out of room for a crate but I don't think he would have a problem getting back to that). Bane has a spinal injury- traumatic IMDD. He jumped off our deck last year and it caused a bulging disc. He was paralyzed at first but has been doing great now, and is able to use stairs and (almost) run.

I would love to see all three go to a new home together, but that is not required. Bruce is a pit mix, and is extremely dorky. He is lazy, a little overweight, and the happiest boy. He really likes belly rubs and (short) walks. He does like to chase squirrels in the back yard. Bruce could use some help loosing a little weight (he likes to steal the other dogs and cats foods here). He also has a benign tumor on his stomach (lipoma).

Story
I have had Daisy for nearly 5 years- she was a stray and I adopted her from a shelter in Kansas City.. Daisy is the typical silly pitty who really likes sunbathing and destroying toys. She has separation anxiety and is a mastermind at getting out of crates. She is the most loving dog I have ever met and it breaks my heart that I am even considering this. She is wonderful with all people and animals and does know some commands. She likes to talk and bark and has never shown any signs of aggression. She is somewhat leash trained but is convinced she belongs on a bobsled team.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We adopted Streak around 4 months ago from the Sangamon County Animal Shelter. He is one and a half year old happy and playful dog and still very much a puppy at heart. He loves going on walks, runs, and playing fetch/tug of war; or is content to sit and cuddle sharing love and affection. Do to his view of being a 60lb lap dog, I would recommend older kids, but he has never been aggressive towards anyone. He loves to play with other dogs and has enjoyed tumbling around with his house mate (an american pit bull of the same age) both inside and out. Streak is an avid chewer. He has not damaged any furniture, but I strongly recommend thicker treats and sturdier toys. He is ready to move and has a crate, harness, leash and bed ready to move with him (no extra charge). He is a wonderful, loving, sweet dog. Personal circumstances will not allow me to continue to give him the best home environment and we are hoping to find a family that can provide the love he deserves.

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We are seeking a new home for Huk because he does not get along with our dog who is his litter mate. When not around his brother, Huk is a model dog - very polite, mild mannered and loves to cuddle and play ball. He does not beg at the dinner table. He knows sit, shake sometimes kiss. We are working on stay. He would be a great 1 dog family since he is uncomfortable and shows aggression towards other dogs.
