Talk about a gentle giant, truer words were never spoken when referring to this very special guy!! Dax is just 8 months old and already pushing 90 pounds. Given his breed he still has a lot of growing to do. He will not reach his full potential until he is 18 months old or so. We can NOT guarantee he is a full Great Pyr, we have not not a DNA. But, he has the size, the double dew claw and even tho he is not a longer coat it is possible for Pyr's to have a shorter coat, it does happen. But, if you are looking for a purebred, Dax may not be your guy.
But...if what you are looking for is a sweet, lovable, gentle and very huggable polar bear of a dog, then perhaps Dax could be the guy for you. He was raised with children, even a toddler. Of course, with any dog there should be extra care in place when bringing any dog into a home, kids need to be educated as well as to how to behave with a dog. With that said, Dax could be a wonderful addition to the right family.
He is an active boy, he LOVES being outside playing with his active dog buddies. He would love a home with a fenced yard and another playful dog. He is an easy to care for guy. Pyrenees have a great coat, even when they get muddy, the dirt just falls right off! Dax is also totally housebroken, does not need to be crated, has not been destructive in the house. He plays hard, but he also is a champion napper!! He sleeps well all night long, what an added bonus! Great Pyrs are known for their gentle nature, for those have not been blessed with a Pyr in your life, so sorry, they are soul dogs, they will be in your heart forever.
Dax is fully vetted and ready for his forever family. His adoption fee is $400. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
