Story

Floyd lived his first four years in a kennel too small for him, barely ever getting out of it. He's learning how to be loved in his foster home, and has come such a long way. He's a Lab and Mastiff mix who is almost 5 years old now. There's still a road ahead of dedication and training that he'll need, so we're searching for the right family that will be able to give him just that kind of love. Floyd is treat motivated, so he's responsive to training; but, does need to eat and drink separate from others, or needs to be the only pet in the home. He LOVES to play and run, and is a super toy chewer dog! His foster family is slowly getting to cuddle with him. It's all new to him so patience, understanding and love is the key to this fellow's heart. As are all EARS dogs, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and currently receiving monthly prevention for flea/tick and heartworm. Story

Copper, a 9-yr old heeler mix, is looking for a new forever home. He knows basic commands like sit and shake, and is still playful but loves to lay on the couch and nap with you too. Copper gets along with other dogs, and doesn’t mind cats inside but is more curious about them outside. We think a home with older children who have dog experience would be best, as he's getting a little feisty in his old age. Copper has developed a bit of loud noise anxiety, and his foster family is working through it with him. He's an awesome dog looking for a place to chill. Story

Frisco is a sweet and energetic goofball! He is full of kisses and wants nothing more than to roll around and play! His most favorite thing in the world are ball toys! He is a super chewer, and can't enough of chasing a ball around the yard. He is about a year and half old and we believe he was once potty trained in his former home. Frisco does not like cats, but we are told he does ok with other dogs, but that has not been our experience. He does seem to like female dogs more so than male dogs, but we feel he needs to be the only animal in the home for everyone’s safety. While Frisco wouldn’t necessarily start a dog fight, he absolutely would finish it if another dog challenged him. Given his big head, muscles, and propensity to throw his weight around all willy nilly, we suggest that if you have children in your life that they be older kids (12+) that don't mind getting knocked down every now and again as he plays. A little consistency and daily play time will go a long way with this sweet boy. He LOVES car rides! He would make a great travel companion. Story

Lottie is one of our longest residents here at ECAC. This girl has been at the shelter for 8 months and we cannot believe no one has scooped her up. Lottie is the BEST girl. She is the sweetest girl to her people and all of us here at ECAC absolutely adore her. She is a 3-4 year old Great Pyrenees. She is completely house trained and does well with cats. Her favorite toys are the smallest squeaky toys that she loves to throw into the air and around the room. When she gets excited she prances around the room and loves to play a game of catch me if you can with her people 😂 She absolutely loves to be brushed and will sit there for hours enjoying her best life. All in all Lottie is the best girl... however she does have some quirks that come with her. Lottie came to us after living with an older gentleman. It was always just the two of them so unfortunately she wasn't socialized properly. Being a Great Pyrenees it is in her DNA to guard so she tends to stick close to her people. You can always find her close by and she loves to lean up against her person for pets 🩷 Lottie does well meeting new people without "her" people being around so a special meet and greet with her could be arranged. Lottie needs a home with very low traffic or a home where she could be put up when company comes over.

Loki is a big hunk of love couch potato that is looking for his furever home. He is around 5 years old. He is a chill boy that loves cuddling on the couch with his people and going on walks. He is not a fan of other animals, so he does need to be the only pet in the home. He also needs a home with no small children. Loki's adoption fee is $130. He will come up to date on his age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, microchipped and neutered.

Story

Dwight was originally adopted as a puppy and sadly returned to the shelter after a year. He is looking for a new furever family that won't give up on him. He is a large dog and guessed to be some sort of lab mix with a curly tail. His a little unsure of being back in the shelter and very sad. However, he seems very happy to see us when we greet him in the morning! He is used to living indoors and was likely potty trained before being returned. He does need to learn some manners and leash training, but since he is so treat motivated, it shouldn't take long to catch on with a patient and consistent owner. He is still very young for his size, and needs a somewhat active family willing to play and exercise him every day. He is such a cool dog.
