Story
Meet Zeus, a 2 y/o male unneutered boxer/mix who is very friendly with a lot of energy. He's up to date on his vaccinations and is looking for a loving active home to spend the rest of his days. He hasn't had the chance to be around children or other dogs/cats, but from his friendly demeanor, I don't believe this would be an issue. He is currently located in Lovejoy, IL. I have encountered some time constraints and need to be more available for my parents. Please let me know if you think you could be a good match for Zeus.

Story
A beautiful update from Sybil's foster :) ------ I've had Sybil for about two months now. She was with a foster who couldn't keep her anymore, so I met her immediately and knew she had a great temperament and was a good dog. It was definitely worth bringing her home and working with her. I have a kennel for the foster dogs, and they all have their own large yard. And man, is she having fun! She loves romping in her yard. She meets the other dogs when I walk them, prancing around as they go by her run. She is one happy dog. She has a good amount of energy but isn't hyper. She is doing great in my kennel. She is pretty good about staying calm and not joining in the barkfest when everyone else is excited. She's great with me and independent, but she likes her pats occasionally. She leans on my leg and sometimes falls over for belly rubs. When I clean her yard, she follows me around. She's not overly demanding, which I appreciate. She's going to make someone a very dedicated and fun friend. She's a good dog and will be even better and more stable when she leaves here. She's worth the effort and will be an excellent companion for some lucky person.

Story
I love my foster home so much, especially since I never remember having so much love....ever before in my life! My foster family lets me cuddle all the time, take me for nice walks, and they give me some good food! See, I was emaciated when I came to CARE STL and was busy nursing four puppies. Now that is all behind me, and I just get to enjoy my life as a dog. Foster mom says my fur has grown back and I've gained some weight. She even laughs at my silly side that has come out! I will swoop my head underneath your hand for pets if I see that you're not busy. A family is what I really want more than anything. My foster home is a great start, but I am ready for my true family to find me! I'm a really good girl! I am a snuggle bug extraordinaire, a zoomer of zoomies, clear communicator, and a broccoli and cheese connoisseur. I am also crate and potty trained and have been working on my reactivity. I love to play fetch, sit, shake, and run to my foster dad after work to show him my favorite bone! Jenny would love to be your one and only and has waited a very long time for a home all her own! Please consider this sweet girl!

Story
Amity is a 4 year old, 65 lb ball of cuddles who's looking for his forever home! Some of Amity's favorite things are snuggling, taking naps, eating treats, holding hands with his person, going to school at Good Dog Enrichment & Training, and exploring Sniffspots. He is the ultimate couch potato; 20-30 minutes of activity (walking, training, playing) is about all he needs in a day, plus enrichment. Amity prefers a slow courtship and would like to be the only pet in a low-key household. -- For anyone looking for a lost pet or considering adoption or fostering, we encourage you to make regular visits to the shelter. Please note that this website is updated every 24 hours and may not include all the animals available at CARE STL. If you are interested in a specific dog, such as Amity, we invite you to stop by the CARE STL Adoption Center located at 2700 Walnut Pl, 63103.
