Story
Meet Harrison Ford! This handsome boy never stops smiling. If you are looking for a highly intelligent companion with a big heart to always make you laugh, Harrison is the goofy guy for you! Harrison loves nothing more than spending time with people. Some of his favorite activities are sunbathing (absolute favorite), playing monkey-in-the-middle (only if he’s in the middle), smart toys, watching human reality TV, and his favorite snack is blueberries.  He is looking for a forever home where he can be the only dog and a family that can manage a recently diagnosed autoimmune condition; he currently requires medication for it. Harrison has been in foster care at Reach Rescue since he was a 4 month old puppy and is holding out hope that someone out there is willing to take a chance on him! He has the biggest heart to give in return. If Harrison sounds like the dog for you, complete an adoption application online to schedule a meeting! top by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Story
Meet Clifton - a true survivor with the biggest heart! Clifton’s story is one of resilience and hope. He came into rescue as skin and bones, but thanks to love, care, and consistency, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy boy who is truly loving life. Now, he’s ready for a forever home where he can keep thriving. Clifton is almost fully house broken and crate trained. He is sweet, curious, and absolutely full of life and love. He adores people and enjoys the company of other dogs, rarely barks, and is wonderfully well-behaved… though if a shoe is left within reach, he may decide it’s the perfect chew toy (he’s still got that playful puppy streak!). This energetic boy loves long walks—multiple times a day if possible—along with playing fetch, chewing on bones, cuddling with his people, and taking well-earned naps. Exploring the world on walks is one of his favorite things, and he would be thrilled with an active home that enjoys getting out and about. Clifton does best with older kids and would especially love a family that can give him plenty of attention and engagement. His biggest joy is being with his people, and he struggles with being left alone, as he has some separation anxiety. He has learned routines quickly in his foster home and would thrive in a household where someone is home most of the day, can provide daily walks, and lots of love. An ideal home for Clifton would include another small, playful dog to keep him company, help burn off energy, and ease his anxiety when his humans are away. With the right match, Clifton will reward you with endless affection, loyalty, and joy. If you’re looking for a loving, energetic companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Clifton may be your perfect match!   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Story
Say Hello to Gilligan! Gilligan is an energetic, sweet, happy-go-lucky pup learning the joys of being a dog. He came to us as a relinquishment simply because puppy life was more work than expected. Like all puppies, he’s a work in progress—but also incredibly rewarding for the right family. Gilligan is crate trained and still working on potty training. He’s doing very well with listening and learning through training and gains more confidence each day with both people and other dogs. He’s great with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine friend, though it’s not required as long as he has a family committed to playing with him and giving him plenty of exercise. This affectionate boy absolutely adores his person and will happily follow them from room to room. He loves playing ball, fetch, and engaging with toys of all kinds, and he enjoys going for walks. Gilligan can be a bit nervous around loud sounds, so a patient, understanding home that can help build his confidence will be important. Gilligan would do best with an active family who understands that puppies take time, consistency, and effort—but that the payoff is huge. With continued training, exercise, and love, Gilligan will grow into a loyal, fun-loving companion. If you’re ready for the joys (and adventures!) of puppyhood, Gilligan could be a wonderful foster match Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Story
Meet Fresno, a spunky little guy with a soft side waiting to shine! Fresno is about 3 years old and full of personality. He is crate trained and currently working on potty training (cold weather is definitely not his favorite!). Fresno is a sensitive soul who can be anxious and nervous in new situations and is slow to warm up, which may sometimes come across as being a bit nippy when he’s unsure. Because of this, Fresno will need a child-free home with someone who has prior dog experience and understands how to work patiently with dogs who need time, structure, and reassurance. With consistency, gentle guidance, and continued confidence-building, Fresno has great potential to grow into a more secure and trusting companion. Once Fresno feels safe and bonded, his sweet side comes out—he enjoys relaxing and napping with his people and truly values quiet companionship. He would do best in a calm, predictable home where his boundaries are respected and his progress is celebrated. If you’re an experienced, patient adopter looking for a dog who will form a deep bond and reward your efforts with trust and affection, Fresno could be the perfect fit.
