Story
Hi, I'm Frank. I'm an approximately four-year-old pug. I like sitting with my foster folks under a blanket. It's my favorite thing to do. It's just so snuggly, but I'd like the outside hanging with my foster Sibs. It's a lot of fun. I'm a pretty quick learner, so they taught me where not to go. Of course, taking a walk is my favorite thing to do and I'm pretty good on the leash. I'm a little sweetie. and all kinds of lovable. You need me. :). If you are interested in Frank. please visit www.pawscare.org, and click on the online application. We require the application to be filled out and approved prior to meeting him as all of our animals are in private foster homes. Please fill out all information as we cannot process incomplete applications. A phone number for your veterinarian is a must. We CANNOT process your application without a vet phone number.

Story
"My name is Luke and I came here on 8/17 after being abandoned. Although it was sad, I think it was for the best, because I am a very smart dog and need to be in a home that can give me the exercise, time and attention I long for. I'm a beautiful brindle boy who is a great dog. I'm not a digger or one that destroys stuff. I'm not a barky or mouthy dog. In fact, I'm pretty chill in my pen. Even though my owners left me, I came here already knowing how to sit on command! I really want to please and love training! The volunteer trainer here says I'm a good dog and learning so much! I know how to sit, walk on a leash and am very treat motivated! I'll do best in a home who will be consistent and remind me about the proper way to get attention. I'm a young, energetic boy who needs calm, consistent, structured guidance. I had a sleep-over with one family and I did great with their small kids. I was fine sleeping in a crate there, and also did good with their pig, chickens, and dog (I like to play with other rough-and tumble dogs.) I LOVE to be rubbed under my chin, on my chest and around my ears. I hope for a family who will take me on walks, have a fenced yard or like to go on long walks. All I want is love and a chance. I have a heart of gold. I really do." BONUS: The dog trainer will give FREE training lessons to Luke's lucky adopter. This is something we will require, to ensure a long, happy life for Luke and his family! ........ We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Story
A note from Dodge himself: "Hey there, I'm Dodge, a one-year-old Lab mix looking for a home to show me love. I didn't have the best start in life; hoomans didn't really try and make friends with me, so I'm a bit independent. But I'm seeing that hooman attention is kind of nice. I have already learned that I love scratches on my chest! Pure bliss. It makes me feel warm, fuzzy and loved. I ready to try things like snuggles, treats and toys. I can sometimes pull on the leash, because I'm so excited about walking, but a training collar or no-pull harness with help with that. And when it comes to other dogs, I seem to be good with them and we will know for sure if you bring your pooch to meet me. Plus, I'm a good watch dog! I'll bark if someone is coming on the property or to the door, so that's a good thing I can help with! I'm Dodge, and I can't wait to restart my life in my forever home! If you like a dog that isn't all up in your lap and business all the time, come meet me! We can hang out." ........ We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Story
Meet Bliss. She came to us with her dog buddy, both picked up as strays. Bliss has the most incredibly soft fur, cute wrinkles and very expressive eyes. She takes treats very gently, but also is good at catching them in the air! She sits nicely on command and is very friendly. She pulls a little on a leash, but a no-pull harness will cure that. She is a nice medium-sized dog...about 50 pounds? Bliss has been non-reactive to cats. When she got to see some in their wire kennels and one strongly hissed at her, she simply cocked her head, and went the other direction. Great reaction! She obviously likes some dogs, since she came here with her dog friend, but she is reactive to the other dogs as she "walks the gauntlet of barking dogs". This is fairly normal, but a meet-n-greet with your dog is recommended. Slow introductions that may take days or even weeks is NORMAL for both dogs and cats and will help ensure a happy future. If you are looking for a super soft and lovable friend, come meet Bliss! ......... Story
Max is a 1-2 year old very handsome German Shepherd. Coming to us as a stray in July, he is fun, very sweet and loving. He just now learning some manners and obedience. He enjoys bacon treats and thinks he is a lap dog. Max will be such a wonderful family dog with a little training, patience, love and structure. He could be great with other dogs--a meet and greet with your dog(s) will tell for sure. (However, no cats for this boy. Too much prey drive!) He may be energetic at first but he does settle down nicely and then will give you very sweet kisses. If you are looking for a playful, silly and loyal GSD, Max will be worth your time and attention! ........ We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
