Zues

American Pit Bull Terrier Mutt

Male, Adult
Swansea, IL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
This is Zues. Zues lived with his previous owner from puppy until he was 6. He was then dumped on the streets by a family member of his owner who said they would take care of him since his owner was no longer able. Due to the extreme change in his life, Zues is an anxious guy when you first meet him. After he warms up, he is the sweetest boy in the world. He loves ear rubs and cuddles. He is nuetured, house trained, and up to date on shots. He does not chew up things when left alone except for his toys. He loves kongs and tennis balls. Zues is partially blind. Our vet thinks it is something that he was born with and currently can only see a little bit, probably mostly shadows. He gets around fine but will trip over/run into things from time to time. The vet said the disease will eventually cause full blindness but no other health concerns. Due to his semi-blindness he is nervous around other dogs and would need to be the only dog in the home.

Swansea, IL
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Marmalade is a Beagle/JRT that we picked up from the Humane Society. She is potty trained, and has taken really well to commands in a short period of time (1 month), and highly receptive to learning. She is 7 months old now, and is very outgoing, energetic (but not a terror/high energy as a JRT, she seems to have the laid backness of a beagle with some of the JRT energy), and very cuddly. She is also crate trained. Ideally she would be best in a house with a back yard, preferably with another dog to play with.
