Story
This pretty girl is Selene was abandoned in our meet and greet with 2 puppies over 1 year ago. Her puppies were adopted quickly but Selene had to stay with us a while. She was heartworm positive and had to be treated before she could be adopted. Selene went through the heartworm treatment with no problems. Sadly, Selene is still waiting for her forever family. Selene would make a wonderful addition to the home of her choosing. She gets along with almost everyone but is dog selective at times. She would definitely have to meet all members of your current family before adoption to make sure it is a good fit. Selene does know some basic commands and is a very smart, playful girl. Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application

Story
Chad is a Heeler mix who came in with 8 siblings. They came to us when they were only 4 weeks old. They were an unwanted litter who were surrendered to us when their mama quit taking care of them.Chad's a sweet and gentle soul who's currently undergoing training at the Shawnee Correctional Center as part of our 3rd SWATT class. Chad is eager to learn and is making incredible progress in mastering manners and basic obedience. Chad graduates mid Jan and is hoping to go straight into a home where with a little love and patience, he'll blossom into the perfect furry companion.BONUS: Earlier this year, Chad attended a fun event at Big Muddy Brewing where Amber's Peace Love & Bows donated a gift certificate for 6 free baths and nail trims for Chad's adopter. Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application

Story
Hello, My name is Harrison. Now that my "wheelie" brother from another mother, Luke has found his forever home in Florida, I thought I would see if my people are out there.I'm not one to brag. But, you know, people talk when they think you're not listening. Boy have I heard some things about me! Let me tell you a few:"Harrison is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs I've worked with. He loves to snuggle but is also hell on wheels! (in the best way).""When Harrison is out of his wheels and running around the play yard, he would give Peter Cottontail a run for his money with the way he hops.""Harrison is a lover and very smart. Some of his favorite things are food, outside walks in his chair, food, people, food, attention, food, and the never missing stuffed animal he carries."Now for the boring stuff. November 2022 could have been better for me. I was found in a ditch by a caring soul after being hit by a car. That's when St Francis stepped in to provide my medical care, rehab, and love. Lots of love!!I like most dogs. But, I may be just a tad too interested in cats.Got food? I'll train with you. Remember someone says I was smart. Got kids? I'll play with them. I love little hoomans... As long as I get some exercise. I'm a big boy and without the use of my back legs, I sometimes can't stop once I get going. I could knock little ones down by accident.Got time and patience? This 55 pound, 2-year-old, proud Boxer needs some embarrassing help. You see, I need help to ... ... ... pee n poop. It's not hard to help me. My friends here at St Francis will be happy to teach you, and with practice you'll soon be a pro!I have so much love to give, sometimes I think my heart will explode if I don't get a family of my own. I already have wheels that i LOVE and if you take me home, you get to take those, too.Got questions? Have your people call my people. Can't resist me? Fill out an application and let's meet. Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application
