Story
This is Larry a 68lb pittie mix lap dog who's looking for his forever family through ActNow! Rescue. He'll keep himself entertained for hours and when he's ready to crash he'll crawl right up onto your lap whether you're ready or not because he's just a big cuddly boy! He loves his zoomies and would do very well in a big yard with a fence. He hasn't been cat or kid tested. He wasn't terribly interested in meeting the other dogs in my house but once he did he was super playful! He would be a great family dog ❤️ Please fill out an application at actnowrescue.net

Story
This is Laika. Laika has had a very rough start to her life. She was hit by a car and left on a cement floor at a vet's office with no medical care for 2 months. ActNow! Rescue tagged her and got her to a surgeon for an evaluation. It turns out that neither of her knee caps are where they're supposed to be and sadly there's a chance that surgery won't even fix the problem. The vet had said he was surprised she can even walk at all bc her left knee is only slightly better than her right and she really only uses that one leg. Once she is adopted if something were to happen to her better leg, the rescue will be responsible for that care. However, she gets around just fine! She runs and plays with other dogs and doesn't have any issues with stairs. She's only around a year old, not sure what breed she is but I know she's absolutely beautiful inside and out! She only weighs about 34lbs and is so sweet that I'm surprised she doesn't melt when water touches her 🥺. She's potty trained and crate trained although she really doesn't need to be in a crate and I haven't had her in one bc she doesn't destroy anything in the house when I'm away. She's great with other dogs and while she hasn't been kid or cat tested I can only assume based on what I've seen that she would do great. While I believe she would do great with kids I don't want her to go to a home with young children only bc I'm worried they might knock her over, it's usually the other way around lol. She doesn't need to go on walks so as not to put more stress on her left leg so if you're an older couple she might be the ideal girl for you. Please fill out an application at actnowrescue.net

Story
Meet chunky Monkey! He is being fostered through ActNow! Rescue. He and his family were dumped at a farm in Francois County at just a few weeks old. During that time his momma fought hard to keep her pups safe from coyotes and other predators. Thankfully I found out about them through a kind woman and brought them home. Chunky Monkey didn’t live up to his name then. He was full of fleas, ticks and worms. Super skinny and very nervous of everyone. Fast forward to now…. Chunky Monkey is FOUR months old and fully recovered. He loves to sleep on foster mom’s lap after he has ran around the yard. He’s quite the love bug! Chunky Monkey is neutered, up to date with shots and doing great on housebreaking. He is a Labrador Retriever mix and as his pics show… a very handsome boy. All he needs is a home, could that be with you? You will not find a sweeter, more loving puppy. Please contact his foster mom with any questions at kathysemail16@gmail.com Applications can be filled out at actnowrescue.net
