Story
I am very energetic and need exercise. I am a very affectionate dog and always want to cuddle. I will crawl right into your lap for a hug. I was raised with another dog and we have always played well together. I play rowdy, but I am good natured. I have no history of biting. I prefer to play chase and tug. I like kids, but need to be watched closely with little kids, due to my playful nature. I can get very excitable when people come to the door and need correction. I am fearful of loud noises (thunder and fireworks). I warm up to new people within minutes when encouraged by someone I trust to meet the new person. I shed throughout the year and have a short single coat.

Story
Hello! Stella is our pet name. She is an English Creme/Golden Retriever, who is 1 year and 4 months old. She is still young, active, and lovable. She is people and kid-friendly in other words she seeks attention from anyone willing to pay attention to her. She aims to be cuddled, petted or her belly rubbed. She also is a good guard dog and watches the house well. Stella will require a family with yard space and a fence to not allow her to escape. We are looking for a family that can give her the same type of attention and care we have given her. We have made sure she has received all her vaccines, and have taken her to the veterinarian for additional care. We also have a relationship with a nearby Kennel for long outings. She will make a great pet, whoever can provide her with attention, care, and space to be free. She will get along with most pets except German shepherds as they scare her. We need her to be rehomed as we are having issues with the property owner.

Story
Thanks to Melissa Carlton State Farm Agent, Gerald's adoption fee is waived! With supporters like Melissa, all dogs have second chances and their futures look bright. Hi! I am Gerald! I have been with my current foster mom and dad for a few months and I ready to find my forever home! I am about 9 years old (even though my foster mom says I don't act 9). I was found roaming the streets by a kind police officer who brought me to Gateway Pet Guardians. Because I am an older boy, I come with many perks that GPG offers to my family like free training sessions! I am very smart and very food motivated. I love to play with treat puzzles, and I have a favorite "licky ball that my foster mom fills with frozen bone broth or goats milk and it's amazing. When the weather is bad, she likes to give me licky mats that she says works my brain even though I can't go outside. I love walks, stuffies, balls and chew bones. I love it when you come home from work. I love it so much that I will greet you with my favorite toy of the day. If I have a very special toy, I will take it outside and bury it. I'm very good at hiding my toys so that only I know where they are. I sleep all night in my crate, but I do like to have a stuffy and my favorite blanket with me. Although I'm more than happy to sleep with you if that makes you feel better! Because I came from the streets, I have some scars on my body and legs, but that doesn't stop me. I get around VERY well, but one thing that happened to me is that I have to wear a belly band because I don't always know when I have to pee. I do sometimes, but not always. I think people feel like this is a bad thing. But it' s no different than babies wearing a diaper. I don't mind them at all. I just need you to keep me clean and change them a few times a day. My foster mom says I come with about 10 of them, so you don't have to do laundry every day....she doesn't like to do laundry that often.
