Story
We bought Luna from a farm in 2021. Her birthday is 12/31/2020. She recently turned 4. She is crate trained during the day and is fine being out at night. She will likely sleep right at your bedside. She loves to play outside! She is a social dog. She is friendly with other dogs and cats. We have young kids (ages 1-10) and she has always been good with them! We are just looking to rehome her because we have busy work and extra curricular schedules and don’t feel like she is getting what she needs from us any longer. But we know she would thrive anywhere. She hasn’t had her shots in about a year or two but she is in great health and always has been! She is not fixed. We had planned to breed her but never have. This app says to spay her which I’m not sure is actually required but many town animal control places do it for free! You can contact me over text: (630) 624-0407

Story
Benji has been our pet for 4 years and we are very attached to him but we found out recently that my wife is allergic to dogs and we tried to work around it but her allergies are getting worse. We are sad to make this decision but we have to let him go and he is the most proper dog ever. Friendly, loves to play, loves kids, he is neutered and is on a wellness plan so he gets all his shots quarterly. We have had zero issues with him even at the vet, he regularly goes to dog boarding and socializes with other dogs. If you are looking for a constant companion, ever curious about what you are doing and wants to help with everything even though he doesn't know how, he is your dog. Would be helpful if you had a fenced yard but if not as long as you are okay doing walks and taking him to dog parks you will be fine. He doesn't need constant exercise but we do have play times with him like fetch which he loves.

Story
Charlie is a happy pup and an all around good boy. He turned a year in February. He is not a jumper or a barker and would make a great addition to any home. I am looking for a home for him that he can have more attention than he is able to get right now. He spends long periods alone and deserves more love and attention. He’s good with cats, kids, and other dogs.

Story
Hi there, my name is Vanessa and I'm about 1 1/2 years old. I'm a really pretty young girl. If you have seen my pictures my coat is a reversed brindle. I had DNA test, and it summed up I am a Pittie but mixture of many other dog breeds. What does that mean? I'm your All-American Mutt but I'm a smart All-American Mutt. I weigh 55#s. It's been almost a year since I've been in my foster home, and I've seen so many of my foster friends come in and find their forever families. In some ways, I am happy for them. They get those magic words "forever home" and I wonder when it's going to be my turn. When I lay on the couch with my foster Mom, she tells me "Vanessa, there is a family out there for you - you just wait." I look at her adoringly and I believe her. I trust my foster Mom so much. She's taught me so much in my year with her. She taught me how to SIT, COME, WAIT, walk on leash and no jump. The last one is work in progress. I've met so many new people and new dogs that my circle of friends gets bigger and bigger. She calls it socialization and manners. She tells new people I have to learn manners where I don't bark or jump when I meet new people. I get so excited when I meet new people, but I do calm down. It takes me about 2 minutes to calm down. You scratch my butt I'll be your BF in no time. When all my foster friends were finding their forever homes my foster Mom said V (that's her nickname for me) we need to expand your social circle - let's go to doggie daycare. Can you believe a rescue dog like me went from being a stray, living in a ditch to being the life of the party at doggie daycare? Well, believe it because that's me! I love when I go to doggie daycare. The staff knows when I come - butt scratches! I get to play all day with about 10 new friends and when I come home, I snore all night. In my foster home there are small and other dogs my size and I'm good with all of them. There was once a little dog that was so crabby that I was actually scared of him. I stayed away but I eventually made friends with him. Even with his crabbiness he got a home, so I know with my cheerful demeanor there is a home for me. There's also cats here in my foster home. Some are the resident cats and some are foster cats. Pitties are known to not be the greatest with cats and I can attest to that. I am not mean to them at all, but I will chase them. The cats here are all dog savvy. In the one year I have lived in the same home with numerous cats and dogs I can say I can live with other cats. It's the Human that has to make it work. Know what my foster Mom's trick is? Baby gates and teaching me "Vanessa, off." At nighttime I sleep in my crate. If there are no cats in the home I won't need one. I don't get into anything. I'm past the chewing stage. I do like sleeping on the couch, but I also like my crate. I know the command "go kennel" and I give you a bark (btw my bark is loud) when I got to do my business. There is also a bell by the door that I hit with my nose to tell you I gotta go out. So, about my barking? I have to tell you a story. One day, there was a bad storm, the nice neighbors tree fell down. All the electrical wires came out and there was all these booming noises and popping sounds. (transformers). Nobody got hurt but ComEd was in our backyard in the middle of the night. I did not like that! I had to tell my foster Mom, and I barked & barked. I woke her up to alert her to the booming/popping noise and this strange person in her yard. I might not make a good watch dog (I'd give too many kisses), but I did a great job in alerting my people who I love so much. I hope one day I have a family of my own. I hope maybe they will have another dog I can play with and maybe teach me manners so I can master the NO JUMP. I would love to continue with my new family on my daily walks and I would be so lucky if my new home has a fenced yard, and I have a young boy/girl that can play ball or frisbee with me. I do that now. I chase it but I get distracted & don't bring it back. I'll learn one day because I'm so smart. I know there are so many Pitties like me needing homes, and we all are so special. We just need the chance for someone to read our profiles - so I thank you for reading my profile. I hope I get the chance to meet you so I can win you over and you can fall in love with me. Story
Hello! My name is Sasha and I am about 4 years old. I'm not quite sure what I am mixed with. Some of my papers say Shepherd and some say Labradoodle. That's a funny one because my fur is really short and definitely not curly. My fur is black and white. Mostly white but I have black freckles. I weigh 50#s. I'm the perfect size! My Mama had to move into a nursing home, and I couldn't go with her. I was so ready to go. I had my things packed up. I don't require much. Just my leash, collar and my bone - I travel light. But sadly, the nursing home said no doggies can come with. So, thankfully some nice folks at Hounds Town knew about me and helped out. I get to go there during the day and play with other dogs. Sometimes I have my sleepovers there too Hounds Town reached out to Treasured Animal Rescue and asked if I could be one of their Gems. They met me and knew I was a gem right away. I get more playdates & sleepovers. I'm such a lucky girl to have so many people helping me find a new home. I was sad when my Mama was no longer with me, but I know she loves me, and I loved her as best I could. Now, it's time for another family to love me. I'm a quiet girl. I like to be around other dogs. I love to sniff and explore. I walk really well on a leash, and I like car rides. I sit really well in my seat and watch the world drive by. I wonder what adventure I am going to. In my foster home there are other dogs and cats. I've met the dogs at my doggie daycare, and we are friends. The cats? It's still un-decided. The cats here are very "dog-savvy". They are used to dogs barking at them. The only time I bark is when I see one of the cats. I might chase them but I don't mean them any harm. Even though my foster home has cats it might be best my forever home does not have any cats. My foster home also has a fenced yard and my forever home MUST have a fenced yard. Even though I'm great walking on leash I will pull you to see that squirrel or rabbit and try to chase them. No fenced yard I can become a stray. I haven't been around kids so maybe we just say older kids for right now. I might jump on you when we first me. That's just me saying "let's be friends" and I'll give you a hug. I'm ready for my next adventure. I'm ready for a new family and a new home. Maybe my new family will have a fenced yard that I can walk around and explore. We can go for daily walks. At nighttime, I'll lay by your feet or maybe I'll have a dog bed. I will give you that unconditional love a dog gives. My Mama loved me enough to be sure I was taken care of. I think of her every day but she knows I'm a special girl that needs a family to see how special I am so they can love me just like she did. Can't wait to meet you!
