Story
Hey there, pals! The name's Calhoun, and let me tell ya, I'm the life of the party! 🎉 I may be a two- to three-year-old, 70-pound Shepherd, but don't let my size fool ya – I'm a big bundle of joy just waiting to find my forever home! 🐾 I've been hanging out in my foster home for a few months now, and let me tell ya, I've got the seal of approval from my foster dad! He's always raving about how sweet and loving I am, and let's not forget my impressive people skills – I can get along with any pup I meet! 🐶 I've got this knack for diffusing any tense situations with my goofy antics – whether it's rolling around, jumping over things, or wiggling my way into someone's space, I'm all about spreading those good vibes and showing everyone that life's meant to be enjoyed! 😄 Check out my personality in action: https://youtu.be/Nl18hewfB5U Sure, I may look a bit awkward sometimes with my long legs and silly behavior, but trust me, I'm as athletic as they come! I love zooming around and jumping for joy – it's like I've got springs in my paws! 🐾 And let me tell ya, my foster dad gets a kick out of watching me run – my joy is just contagious! 🏃‍♂️ I went and visited my friends home with 6 dogs and 2 teens and they said I did fantastic even with 13 pound dogs! I received an A+ But hey, I'm not just a goofball – I've got some serious house manners too! I'm crate-trained, walk like a champ on leash, and I'm all about those car rides. Plus, I adore kiddos – they're like my favorite playmates! 👶 I'm on the lookout for a forever home where I can be a part of the family and go on all sorts of adventures together. Once we bond, I'll be your trusty sidekick – whether we're exploring the great outdoors or just cuddling up on the couch. And hey, I've got great recall, so you can bet I'll stick close by your side! 🌟 So, if you think I might be the perfect fit for your crew, don't hesitate to reach out to my adoption coordinator. If you think this fun and goofy girl is a fit for your family, and you've considered the expenses of a giant breed dog, please fill out an application at https://brokenheartsrescue.wixsite.com/mysite/general-6-1 NOT AT ADOPT A PET. MUST BE WITHIN 4HRS OF TWIN FALLS, IDAHO. Sometimes, we will recommend professional training when adopting a certain dog out, both to help them, (AND YOU) learn how to best integrate that dog into your home. Training forms a bond and creates solid communication with you and your new family member. Since coming back, Siri has completed professional training and received her Canine Good Citizenship. She now has a great foundation for her new family to build on. You don't happen upon a great dog. You become great with the dog. Siri is a 1 1/2 year old, 100lb, Great Dane who has been spayed, double cherry eyes fixed, and had gastropexy surgery to prevent her stomach from flipping, which can be common in giant breeds. She is 1000% goofy girl. Though she sounds tough with her deep bark, she is more likely to tuck tail and hide behind you if something is scary. In fact, her recent trip to the vet had her sitting on her foster mom's lap while getting her vaccines. 🤣 Water from a hose is so fun, until the hose turns on her, then it's a mad dash to run away, tripping over her feet as she goes. Siri loves car rides and hopes her new family will take her on many adventures. A lot of experiences are very new to her, but she wants to be by your side doing it together. Siri is a little bit of a drama queen if she wants to do something, like go for a walk and you tell her no. Like every child, she tends to voice her opinion on why life is not fair. I swear she knows what you are saying, and you can almost understand her side of the argument. Siri will need a family committed to keeping up with her training. She is so much better with her new skills and her family needs to know how to help her continue to be the best girl she can be. Her adoption fee is $300 to help cover her medical and training.

MEET PADAMAY! Paddy is a stunning Boxer Blend that is ready for her “furever” home. At 2 years old and 75 pounds, she's not just a lap dog; she's a cuddle bug extraordinaire. She has previously resided with a Rottweiler foster sister and 4 other boxer x siblings. Paddy is a sweetheart who adores companionship. Sensitive to loud noises, Paddy isn't a fan of fireworks, gunshots, or other loud sounds. However, she's crate trained and finds solace there during such times. It's important to give her about a 3 weeks to decompress in her new environment, and introductions to new animals should be done gradually. Paddy thrives best with the company of a large, mellow dog. She's a dream on a leash and shows no interest in chasing squirrels, cats, or ducks. If you're interested in welcoming Paddy into your home, please reach out to PAWS Rescue inc.

Story
**Fostered in Sammamish, WA and ready for meet and greets!** Boots is made for walkn' - that's just what he'll do - One of these days you get to walk Boots with you! This sweet boy is a happy, water lovin' outdoorsy fella! Boots is respectful around cats and very friendly with other dogs. Boots love a good booty scratch and is ready to netflix and chill on the couch. He is what we call "move-on" ready! Take a look at him in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/oxGDrJF1rcQ Boots is super confident and outgoing, he has not met a stranger. He loves to greet new people with a wagging tail. He’s joyful and loves to play with toys and he’ll throw a toy up in the air to keep himself busy. Boots can match the energy of what’s going on around him. If given the opportunity to play, he can really get into it. Check out his rodeo moves here: https://youtube.com/shorts/gsIwiQ7erR8?si=cNCk_8Me3Lg3U49t If you are needing to work on the computer, he will lay down in the room with you like a good boy. He is not constantly in your face needing attention. I worked on my computer for about two hours and he laid on the ground next to me. I’ve had my six-year-old boy with us and Boots has enjoyed interacting with him. He loves it when my son pets him. He absolutely loves to play tug-of-war with a toy! It seems to be his happy place if you’ll give him a minute of that game. Whenever you make eye contact with him, his tail wags, he just absolutely loves people so deeply. He’s really quiet in his crate overnight with no accidents. He does not bark from what we’ve seen, he seems completely crate and potty trained. He does get fun zoomy energy, but it’s not constant. He has a pretty well-balanced energy level. The cats come to the glass door and taunt him through the glass door, but he doesn’t bark or freak out. Weighing in at 55 lbs he is a lot of fun and the perfect get-up and go guy! Estimated to be 1 year old, he is eager to learn and has a great base of to work from. He has a great sense of dog manners, how to play nicely, and loves a light-hearted game of chase! Boots is young and will need help polishing up his leash skills, the day we met him he was excited and a bit bouncy on leash but has enough of a basic understanding that he could easily join you on a walk right now without any trouble. When we introduced Boots to a handful of dogs he had never met, he was calm for introductions and perfectly playful when he was invited to play chase. Watching him jump into the pool to cool off was what sealed his hold on my heart. He was so content and self-assured it was a joy to watch! Boots is also friendly without being pushy, he wants to say hello but will wait patiently for you to meet his eyes and invite him over. Not one time, even when treats were being offered (which he loves) he did not jump or get overly excited. He is such a well-behaved boy it is easy to forget that he is a middle-ager, freshly out of his “puppy” days. Boots is what we lovingly call a daycare dog because he is easy-going and his playful approach with other dogs means he can go to doggy-daycare for a fun day out and then come home for a big ol’ nap! He doesn’t need that level of play everyday though, he is mellow inside and happy to hang out or play with a toy on his own. An ideal home would include occasional adventures, hike or day-trips to the lake or beach, and walks around the neighborhood. He would really thrive in a home with a fenced in yard. A playful friend would be awesome and a pool of any size, even a kiddie pool to splash around in, would be a bonus! If you have any questions about Boots or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
MEET TONNIE Meet our special needs girl, Tonnie. ❤️ Tonnie is a 8 month old, Australian Kelpie mix that is funny, silly, and a perfect puppy who happens to be blind. She would love to play all day long if you let her, and she has endless fun with her foster siblings, including cats. One of her favorite activities is feeling the dirt between her toes, which means she would love a sandbox of her very own for digging purposes. We are working on her puppy tendencies, and while she may playfully run away when scolded, it's hard to stay upset at her when everything is a game. She might have a little vision in the corner of one eye, but at night, she’s completely blind. Tonnie needs someone who understands her and has patience. She is still a bit afraid of new people and noises but is slowly calming down. She is kennel trained but doesn’t like to feel cornered when approached by strangers, which is understandable. Tonnie is the happiest dog I’ve ever fostered! Her constant silliness and happy-go-lucky attitude are always making me laugh and shake my head in amusement. We could all learn a bit from blind dogs.
