Story
Jake is a very loving boy. He is always happy with a lot of energy. He loves attention and can be a bit jealous of other pets. This boy is athletic and agile and loves to run as he goes on hikes often so he loves the outdoors. We have two other dogs and have come to realize that 3 dogs are too much for us an older couple to handle. Jake is 14 months old and would be a great addition to an active and loving family.

Story
***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Jerome, ID Hi, I'm CHARM, I'm been safe and warm for the past 2.5 years thanks to the fosters with my rescue, but a good dog like me should have a family of their own. I'm a 7-year-old sweet, gorgeous, healthy Boxer blend gal that some have called "tomboyish". I love all people. I can even be around older kids. I'm crate-trained and potty-trained. I'm ok with dogs when I see them on a walk, but would rather have a home without any dogs or cats. Check out my video (below) where I just tail-wag meeting strangers. I'm already spayed, current on vaccines, and will come with a microchip. My adoption fee is only $50 to help find my furever family find me. ***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Jerome, ID Meet special-needs GHOST! He is 6 years old and deaf. Based on what we have seen so far, GHOST will need a family without other pets or small kids. We have seen that he is good on car rides and loves toys. He can entertain himself in a home. He is very bonded with the foster dad who has had him for several years, so will need a patient family. SPECIAL OFFER: If GHOST is adopted to a furever family located in the Treasure Valley, then A Pawsitive Alternative Dog Training (Paul Kline) will provide 6 courtesy training sessions for GHOST and the adopter. Story
***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Jerome, ID Meet JACKSON... This almost 2 years old, 57-pound cattle dog/pit bull blend was surrendered to the shelter by the only family that he knew because of behavior issues. We have found that JACKSON loves people and is easy on leash. Because of his difficult past, sweet JACKSON needs a special foster home that is pet-free and kid-free! Someone home most of the time is best for JACKSON as he works through his anxiety and trust issues. The rescue will provide necessary resources as we help him through these behavior issues. Story
***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Kimberly, ID INDIE appears to be about a 3 year old, 35-lb kelpie mix with good energy and was a very good momma to her 7 puppies. INDIE is a very affectionate and fun dog. She plays with toys and chases balls and sticks. She loves playing with water (see videos). She loves being in the backyard where she can scan the perimeter for the neighbor dogs. When she hears them come out, she runs to the fence, wags her tail and whines to get them to come run the fence with her. She loves to spy on them through knot holes in the fence. INDIE is food-motivated and very eager to please. She is not a great walker in the neighborhood. She enjoys our walks, but she pulls on the leash. And when she hears a dog up ahead or sees people getting out of a car, she pulls harder. She wants so badly to go see what is going on and meet new people and dogs. She used to try and chase cars as they drove by, but now she stops walking and watches them drive by. She also loves to chase squirrels and birds. INDIE loves everyone she meets, especially children. She had a little bit of excitatory pee the other day when meeting the neighbor kids. She plops over and offers her belly to everyone she meets. But she can be a little mouthy when she is excited and someone is petting her (puts your hand/arm in her mouth), but she does not bite - it is just a little surprising. This could be because of the herding dog in her. INDIE has a healed shoulder injury from her original living situation where she was a working ranch dog, but it does not slow her down a bit. She is not crate-trained, but is well-behaved when I leave her home alone in the house. She sits by the front window and watches for me to return. She loves looking out the window to see what is going on. Whether you left the house for 2 minutes just to take the trash out, or you were gone for hours, she will greet you with great excitement when you come back in. Now that her puppies have been adopted, INDIE is being a good sport as the only dog in the house, but she would love to be a part of a family and have a playmate of her own. She was turned in by her owner to the rescue with a healed (formerly broken paw ), pregnant, and living outside. Momma INDIE is so very grateful to be out of the blizzard conditions when she was rescued. She had even dug a hole in the frozen ground to keep her seven pups warm and safe before she was rescued.
