Story
POPPY is ready for her furever home for the holidays! ❄️ Here is what POPPYs foster has to say: “This is Poppy! They said she’s 4-6 months old and about 25 pounds. She’s super sweet & shy at first but has gained more confidence from being around and playing with my golden retriever. She thinks she is a guard dog and is VERY loyal to her “pack”. So far she’s been good with my dog and our cat with the exception of an occasional chasing of the cat when he runs. She’s doing better with potty training & does very well in her crate and is a super smart fast learner. She learned “sit” and “shake” within a couple tries of each.”

Story
MEET HANK! Hank found himself in an overcrowded shelter at only six months of age 😱. Because of the huge demand for space to accept the record numbers of strays and owner surrenders (not the shelter’s fault) they were forced to set a euthanasia date for him. 😞 We stepped in and pulled him as soon as a foster home stepped forward to help. We believe Hank is a heeler mix. Hank will be neutered soon and made up to date on vaccinations. Here is what his foster mom has to say about him: “Hank is not a tank. Instead, he is a heeler mix that is around 5 months old. He is smaller than the average heeler at this age. He shows many characteristics of a heeler: loyal and alert. If you don't know where he is, look behind you. There he is! He has done great at the foster home with all the dogs and cats. He loves to cuddle with the other heelers at the foster home. He is learning not to chase the feathered friends and that goats are pretty cool. Hank is eager to learn and is smart. He is timid at first, but once he warms up, he follows you around, ready to play!”

Story
***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Kimberly, ID INDIE appears to be about a 2.5 year old, 38-lb kelpie mix with high/mid energy and was a very good momma to her 7 puppies. INDIE is a very affectionate and fun dog. She plays with toys and chases balls and sticks. She loves playing with water (see videos). She loves being in the backyard where she can scan the perimeter for the neighbor dogs. When she hears them come out, she runs to the fence, wags her tail and whines to get them to come run the fence with her. She loves to spy on them through knot holes in the fence. INDIE is food-motivated and very eager to please. She is not a great walker in the neighborhood. She enjoys our walks, but she pulls on the leash. And when she hears a dog up ahead or sees people getting out of a car, she pulls harder. She wants so badly to go see what is going on and meet new people and dogs. She used to be a car chaser. Once in a while when a large vehicle comes by, she pulls as if she wants to chase. She has a high prey drive - birds, squirrels, cats, mice, grasshoppers, etc. INDIE loves everyone she meets, especially children. She has a hard time containing her excitement around children and jumps on them. Might not be great for smaller children. INDIE has a healed shoulder injury from her original living situation where she was a working ranch dog, but it does not slow her down a bit. She is not crate-trained, but is well-behaved when I leave her home alone in the house. She sits by the front window and watches for me to return. She loves looking out the window to see what is going on. Whether you left the house for 2 minutes just to take the trash out, or you were gone for hours, she will greet you with great excitement when you come back in. Now that her puppies have been adopted, INDIE is being a good sport as the only dog in the house, but she would love to be a part of a family and have a playmate of her own. Indie is very social and loves to play with other dogs, but she is dog selective. Slow, careful intros are best. BACKGROUND: Former ranch working dog that got injured. She was turned in by her owner to the rescue with a healed (formerly broken paw ), pregnant, and living outside. Momma INDIE is so very grateful to be out of the blizzard conditions when she was rescued. She had even dug a hole in the frozen ground to keep her seven pups warm and safe before she was rescued. Story
If we had to choose one word to describe Ryder, it would be thoughtful. This 7-month-old pup takes his time to watch, observe, and then decide on his next move. Ryder is exceptionally intelligent and quick to pick up new skills—he’s always a step ahead of his siblings when it comes to learning. He knows how to sit and wait patiently for a treat. Ryder is fully housebroken, crate trained, and uses the doggy door like a pro. He’s also a big fan of water! Whether it’s dunking his whole face in a kiddie pool or playing with the hose, he can’t get enough. When it comes to walking, Ryder is a dream. He’s well-behaved on a gentle leader head collar leash and is generally calm for a puppy his age. He’s a sweet snuggler who loves to be close to his person, always wanting to stay by your side. Ryder has a knack for learning from his surroundings. He watches the older dogs and picks up on what gets them corrected—then chooses a different, more favorable way to behave. He’s treat-motivated and shows off his impressive leaping skills when he’s excited—he can look like a flying squirrel, leaping gracefully for a reward! Ryder has been well-socialized and has done great meeting other dogs, cats, and even children. He’s a well-rounded, agile, and loving pup who’s looking for his forever family. Story
Millie is ready for her furever home! Formerly known as Amelia. She is a stunning tri-colored beauty with a heart as big as her gorgeous coat! Believed to be a possible Husky or border collie mix, Millie is a wonderful combination of playful energy and calm affection, making her the perfect addition to any loving home. Millie is not just adorable—she’s incredibly smart, too! She already knows how to sit, shake with both paws, and wait patiently for her food until she’s released to eat. Talk about manners! At home, Millie is a dream. She’s been allowed to freely roam the house while her foster mom is at work and proves herself to be responsible and trustworthy—she doesn’t get into things or show any destructive behavior. She’s perfectly content entertaining herself or napping until you return for snuggles and playtime. Millie adores cuddling, and her playful spirit shines when she’s with other dogs—she gets along wonderfully with her foster sibling and would thrive in a home with or without other pets. Whether she’s showing off her tricks, romping in the yard, or curling up beside you, Millie is guaranteed to fill your home with joy and love. Very affectionate, loving, and a great companion. https://photos.app.goo.gl/TFemR8zeWBVwhxrD7
