Story
Gordita is the sweetest little bulldozer of a dog! She is a gorgeous pit bull mix and she's got the muscle and strength to prove it! Gordita is a big lover and just wants all the attention from her person and once she settles down from all her initial excitement, she will cuddle up for her favorite belly rubs!! Gordita can be a bit dog reactive here at the shelter with selective dogs so she would do best in a home without other animals, however, in the right circumstance, and proper introductions, meeting another dog is not off the table. She just likes to be the center of attention! Gordita loves destroying toys so he is only allowed to have the indestructible toys here at the shelter! She is also a big foodie and will devour any and all food and treats offered to her! (This makes training a breeze for her being so food motivated!) Gordita knows her basic commands but would definitely benefit from additional work on training! Gordita has lots of energy and would do great with an active owner that will take her on lots of walks and hikes and outdoor adventures! She would also do best with someone who can handle her strength and size! Gordita knows how to get the attention by giving you the biggest saddest puppy dog face ever! She's mastered the art of the puppy dog face and will absolutely melt your heart! If you would like to meet Gordita, please call us at (509) 332-3422 to schedule an appointment. You can also email us at staff@whitmanpets.org! Gordita is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $175.

Story
Indigo is our wild child! She is a beautiful puppy German Shepherd mix and has endless energy to burn off every day! Don't let her "scary bark" deter you from meeting her and seeing that she's all talk and really just wants a person to call her own and to love her for eternity because she definitely will return the favor. Indigo is doing amazing with her basic training but would definitely benefit from additional work on training. She's got so much puppy energy and excitement it's so hard for her to sit still for more than .01 seconds!! Indigo has some anxiety she is working through when left alone but with the right owner who is willing to put in the time and effort for her, I think she will just keep improving on that! Indigo also can be reactive when meeting new dogs or new people however, once she gets to know her doggie friends and new human friends she loves both dogs and humans! She would need slow and controlled introductions to any new people or animals just to help her build her confidence with new introductions. Once she knows you though, she's the biggest love bug and will give you all the kisses and cuddles! Indigo would do amazing with an owner who might be experienced with German Shepherds or has done their research on the breed. Indigo also is very athletic and needs a very active owner that will be able to provide her the high activity and exercise level that she requires in order to thrive. If you would like to meet Indigo, please call us at (509) 332-3422 to schedule an appointment. You can also email us at staff@whitmanpets.org!Indigo is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $175.

Story
Archer is a beautiful Australian Shepherd Husky mix with the longest most fluffy fur ever! Archer is such a good boy and loves all people and getting attention from anyone who will give it to him! He likes to show you his "I'm so happy to see you" dance in the morning when we come see him! Archer knows all of his basic commands and although he is not so much food motivated, he is definitely a people pleaser and just wants you to tell him he's a good boy! Archer is extremely well potty trained and has never had ANY accidents inside while he has been at the shelter! Archer is very dog reactive and has a high prey drive so he will need to go to a home where he is the only pet. He is a very strong dog so his owner will need to be physically strong enough to handle him on a leash. Archer is a very good boy and just wants a home to call his own where he will be the center of attention! Archer is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccines. Story
Portobella is such a sweetheart. She is a pit bull mix but on the smaller side for her breed. She's definitely got some muscle on her though! She came into the shelter absolutely terrified and depressed. She's been through a lot but since going into a foster home, she has made SO much progress and has learned to love life again! Portobella is still in her energetic young years and needs LOTS of exercise and stimulation. She loves long walks, hikes, and going on runs!! Portobella currently lives with a dog in her foster home but she needs very slow and controlled introductions to any other animals she may be living with. Portobella needs an active owner that will take her on all of the outdoor adventures! Due to her past trauma, Portobella has some minor resource guarding with food around other animals. She can be dog reactive (but not aggressive) and needs an owner that is willing to work with her on her reactivity when seeing/meeting new dogs. She just has lots of energy and gets so excited to meet friends that it comes out as reactivity. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but with reassurance she's been doing amazing and has turned a 180 since her first days in the shelter! After getting her energy out with a good run, Portobella loves to curl up on your lap and cuddle. Portobella is a wonderful dog and just wants to be your lifetime adventure and running partner! If you would like to meet Portobella, please call us at (509) 332-3422 to schedule an appointment. You can also email us at staff@whitmanpets.org!Portobella is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $175.

Story
Brandy Alexander is just a young puppy and we can already tell, he's going to be a BIG boy when he grows up! He is an Anatolian Shepherd mix and such a sweetheart! Brandy is a big goober and such a gentle boy. He is currently in a foster home with a small dachshund and is so gentle and good with her! He is still learning his basic commands but is a fast learner and doing really well! Brandy would do great in a home with other dog friends to play with or kids to grow up with and have lifelong playmates but he could also thrive and bond with just his one person as well. Brandy is such an easy going puppy that just wants someone to give him all their love and attention and play with him and give him cuddle time and a home to call his own. He would be an amazing family dog. If you would like to meet Brandy Alexander, please call us at (509) 332-3422 to schedule an appointment. Story
Clover is just the sweetest older gal you will ever meet! She is a husky mix and has ALL the fur to prove it! Clover loves going on walks and being brushed and cuddling up with her person for some quality time. Clover just wants a home to call her own and a person to love her and in return she will give you all of her love. Clover can do good with other dogs given proper introductions, but she would also thrive as an only dog. She is such a sweet and gentle girl. Clover is currently on a special food for a sensitive tummy and has to take some supplements for her exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) which just means that her body has a hard time producing the enzymes needed to properly digest her food. But it doesn't affect her love of life and being the sweetest girl ever! If you are looking for a sweet older gal (who's still got lots of life left in her!) to cuddle up on the couch with and take for leisurely strolls through the park, Clover is your girl! If you would like to meet Clover, please call us at (509) 332-3422 to schedule an appointment. You can also email us at staff@whitmanpets.org! Clover is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccines. Clover's adoption fee is $90
