Story

Bella is a beautiful dog that loves to chew on bones and lounge around the house. Does not like car rides, but tolerates them. Loves to go on walks and has to stop and smell everything. A leash is a must or she will take off… does come back eventually. Her favorite place to sleep is under the bed, but also enjoys sucking on dog beds while she sleeps on them. My husband and I rescued her when she was 1 years old. It was just the two of us with two other dogs and she transitioned great. Since then we have had a kid and she tolerates until she’s had enough. She snips and gets defensive with food. She definitely needs her space and doesn’t like kids in her face. We have thought her a few things to help with this. She is a very protective and loving dog and we believe she would thrive in an environment that didn’t have kids or they are older than 10 (understanding of space) and all the attention is on her.

I'M GRAYSON, and I'm a great dog! I'm an unique looking Pittie but am handsome in my own right. I have a bit longer nose and some chubby cheeks and my eyes can sometimes look sad. I'm also quite small for a male Pit, about 45-50 lbs. I'm about 4-5 years old now and keep getting overlooked. I love people and have tested well with some other dogs. About a year ago I was diagnosed with a double hip dysplasia, and I just need to be on meds (or supplements) going forward. (Right now I'm over-the-counter glucosamine and am doing great!) I can be a bit touchy on my back hips now and then, so best to just avoid rubbing me there, especially if I'm sleeping. I am starved for human affection, and I love to go on car rides, walks and other outings. I would do best in a quiet home with a single person or couple. Can you foster or adopt me? He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings.
