Story
5 YEARS OLD 75 POUNDS   5 Years old 75 lb ‌ He needs to be the only dog in your life as he is not fond of sharing his attention with any other animal. He wants his very own human all to himself. We do not recommend a home with kids. Dash came from a back yard breeder that surrendered him once he wasn’t bringing in the money for him anymore. It was very sad to see Dash in the shelter the first few days, as you could tell he was not handled by his previous owner except to be brought out to breed then be put back up. He would flinch anytime you would go to pet him or love on him, and he was even unsure of taking treats from anyone. He was shut down and confused. ‌ After a few weeks in the shelter he finally started to understand what attention felt like and what yummy treats we had, so he started coming around. He goes out on walks every day and loves to go to the play yard to explore.November 4, 2024, 1:50 pm

Story
Harvard is a special boy looking for his perfect home. Harvard has some behavioral challenges that will need to continue to be worked with ref: resource guarding.  We do not recommend a home with children solely due to the resource guarding- and kids sometimes don't remember to stay away from a dog when they have a toy/food.    Harvard LOVES puppies. Adores them. He is good with most large dogs as well.    Harvard thrives on structure and once he loves you, he loves you so much!    Harvard is at risk of being euthanized. He has been at the shelter over a year and we are OUT of room! November 4, 2024, 1:50 pm

Story
Say hello to Eddie, a 4-year-old mixed-breed dog who’s ready to steal your heart! Eddie’s journey began when he was brought to the shelter as a stray. At first, he was a bit reserved, but it didn’t take long for his sweet and affectionate nature to shine through. He quickly became an excellent participant in playgroups with other dogs, showing off his friendly and calm demeanor. After completing his stray hold and being neutered, Eddie’s confidence grew, and, with it, his dominant side. While he still loves being around people, Eddie has become a dog that must be the only pet in the home. He has a strong personality and prefers to be the center of attention in his new home. But don’t worry, Eddie’s love and loyalty will be more than enough to fill your heart and home! Eddie is a true cuddle bug. He loves snuggling up with his favorite humans and will happily curl up on the couch for hours, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. Eddie is always up for snuggle time after a walk or on a lazy day.  Eddie knows basic commands, including “sit,” and is eager to learn more with some positive reinforcement. His intelligence and eagerness to please make him an ideal candidate for further training, especially in a one-pet household where he can thrive. Eddie is in great health! He is heartworm-negative, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. He’s ready to join a family and begin the next chapter of his life. Ready for adoption Eddie is available for same-day adoption, so if you’re ready to give this sweet boy the forever home he deserves, come meet him Eddie is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, receiving all the love, attention, and cuddles he craves. If you’re seeking a loyal companion who will adore you for life, Eddie is the dog for you! Don’t wait—Eddie is excited to meet you and start his new life by your side.
