Story
We acquired Creed from a dear family friend. We did not think about our back and knee issues. He is very friendly and not vicious. My husband has trained him to be gentle. We live on 7 acres in the country but considered City so he has to be tied up and it’s so unfair. Right now he is in a neighbor’s fence and we let him out daily to relax on the porch and run around. When he comes inside he is very obedient and joins my husband in his study to relax. He loves to snuggle next to you.

Story
Maya is an almost one year old pup that loves with her whole heart. She adores humans and is wonderful with pets around the farm. She's well behaved around horses, goats, dogs, and cats. She is NOT good around chickens. Maya was found by my children in the middle of a busy road. The vet estimated her at 6 months old. Knowing shelters are full, and wanting to give her the best opportunity to find a forever home, we decided to get her fully vaccinated, spayed, and Microchipped. She has been started in basic obedience and off-leash training. She's extremely intelligent, and learns quickly. She is well behaved in the house and happy to sit down when her people do, but also to follow and supervise while you do chores. She needs owners who understand that she is still a puppy who has energy, loves her chew toys, and needs playtime outside, although she's well behaved indoors. No fee for the right home.

Story
I rescued Lady during COVID and she has been my sole companion ever since. She is sweet natured and loves my grandson. She is also very protective. I’m not sure of her age but I would guess between 11-14 years. I have fed her very healthy food which I prepared mostly. She is happy and loves to play. I was not able to teach her how to fetch unfortunately. 🙄

Story
Ivy's puppies were born on January 4, 2023. Their mom is a lab mix and dad was either the wandering Great Pyrenees or the neighbor's Black Lab. They came to rescue at 5 weeks old and since then they have been introduced to life as a house dog. They love stuffed toys and have just learned about the joy of salmon and sweet potato jerky. Yummy! They are learning "how to dog" from their mama and the other adult dogs in the house. Since they are not yet fully vaccinated, they haven't been outside much, but are using potty pads. They love to help with chores like folding laundry, sweeping the floor and taking out the trash. These babies are so much fun and we can't wait to see what adventures they get up to with their forever families! The adoption fee for Ivy's puppies is $150. This includes all vaccines (4 Distemper/Parvo, 2 Lepto, a Rabies, and a Bordetella), appropriate dewormings, microchipping and the spay/neuter surgery when they are old enough. A link to our online application can be found at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/22197/generic   If you can see this post, we are still accepting applications.  Once the application window closes, it will take us afew days to process all the applications we receive. We will then be in touch to set up meet and greets with approved adopters.  The amount of applications we receive determines how long it takes us to process them all.  We will contact you by the email address you entered on the application, so please make sure it is correct. When adopting a puppy from a litter, we think it is best that approved adopters come meet the puppies and interact with them before choosing which puppy to adopt. You can’t learn much about a dog's personality from a picture, but you can learn a lot from sitting in the middle of a pile of puppies! From experience, we know that sometimes adopters pick one dog based on the pictures, but fall in love with another once meeting them. Applying to adopt from the litter instead of applying to adopt a particular puppy might not be the way all rescues work but we find it helps us do the best job of matching puppies with families.  Besides, this way, the puppies have a say too! You'd be surprised by how often the puppy picks their family. Hootie's Haven takes the responsibility of choosing forever homes for our dogs very seriously and always has the best interest of our dogs in mind. Our goal is to place each dog with families that will provide forever homes.  We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason and are not obligated to provide a reason. We also post updates on our Facebook page, so please make sure you have liked our page and are following it so that you will see the updates.  You can also go to our page to see other pictures or videos of our dogs.  https://www.facebook.com/hootieshaven   ##1646535##
