Story
8 years old, pit mix, neutered, up to date on all shots. Knows basic commands, crate trained, potty trained. Super good with kids and other people. Got along with our other dog we fostered as well. Getting rid of because child had allergies and he is not getting the proper amount of attention needed. Rocco has been on flea/tick & heart worm medication the entire time we have had him. He is listed as special needs because when we adopted him his paper work stated that. His special needs comes from previous trauma from his original owner. He has been with us for 4 years and has been a wonderful dog. If it wasn’t for my Child with allergies and my unavailability to have extra time for his needs, then we’d be keeping him. He has so so so much love to give. Seriously, such a sweet dog. He just needs another loving family to give him a good home. He will come with his crate and anything else that belongs to him, if the new owner would like it.

Hercules is a fun, loving dog. He is great a round small children. He has a unique thing that he does where he wants to "Pet" you when you great him. He love to go on runs, digs holes as well as play with other dogs. Hercules is only 2 years old, hid birthday is July 8th. Unfortunately we are moving to a area that we feel will not be good for him. W hope that he can get into a fun loving family that has as much energy as him.

This dog has special needs - they are heartworm positive. Dogs with heartworm disease can live happy, high quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life! Heartworm disease is relatively common in the United States, so we are in need of caring adopters like YOU that are willing to open their home to a dog with heartworm disease. You are truly saving a life by adopting a heartworm positive dog!Ask staff about the Stormie Rain Heartworm Fund and what assistance may be available for heartworm treatment expenses.ADOPTION PROCESS: The adoption process is simple and straight forward.Pre-Screening Adoption Application here: https://tinyurl.com/adoptfromHSCCOur receptionists can usually approve/dis-approve your application same day.
