Story
Our handsome tripawd boy Dale is ready to find his forever people! He`s a big sweetheart who has a playful spirit and young dog enthusiasm. Dale came to us with a front leg that was mangled from an old injury that hadn`t healed correctly. The vet advised amputation and he adapted quickly to having three legs, since he hadn`t really been relying on his injured leg for some time. He gets around quite well and can even go up and down stairs, but he does tire out fairly easily, especially in the heat. He`d love to have his own fenced-in yard where he could run around with a toy and then plop down in the shade, next to his person, and watch the dragonflies buzz by. Dale is a lovebug who thinks he is a lap dog, he`s got some puppy energy and doesn`t always know his own size, so his perfect family would be with active adults. We`d like to find him a home without other pets. While he enjoyed playing with dogs in the past, he lost a bit of confidence in his interactions post-surgery, and he`s working on some training to get back on track. Dale is really ready to flourish and just wants a stable home with a family that will support him and help him become his best self! He is the best traveler and loves to come along on family vacations. If you are ready to be Dale`s hero and discover what a lovable pup he is for yourself, fill out our pre-adoption application at https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/pre-adoption-application/ and we`ll introduce you!

Story
Hey guys, Maia here! My foster pawrents said I needed to tell everyone a little about myself so I could have a home to call my own one day. I’m a shy girl at first so bear with me. First off, I love my foster siblings! I currently live with 4 other dogs and 2 kitties, so I would like to have someone to play with in my new home. When I’m not playing with my siblings, you can find me lounging on the couch, chewing on my bones, or sunning outside. Also, I’m smaller than I look! At only about 35 pounds, I’m the perfect size for any house and playmate (my best friend is a Great Dane, so I can definitely hold my own). My pawrents also said that I’m a smart cookie. I’m potty trained, learn tricks really fast, and listen well whenever I need to do something. I also do well on the leash, although I still get a little nervous in new places. Hope to meet you soon! Story
Where in Georgia is Carmen Sandiego? Why, she`s right here, and waiting for her forever home! This beautiful, 3-year-old pup has come a long way. Having been found as a stray with terrible skin infections, Carmen received multiple baths a week and is now healthy and strong. Unlike her elusive namesake, this sweet dog loves to be around people and held like a baby. She is energetic and absolutely loves playing with toys. Carmen must be the center of attention in the family, which means no other dogs and no cats EXCEPT...if you have a small puppy that she can be raised with. She has a lovely, gentle maternal instinct about her and will take a little one under her wing and as they grow, they will become great friends. Hurry and catch Carmen Sandiego by filling out a pre-application for her today! https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/pre-adoption-application/

Story
Hi Guys, Dugan here! I am a black mouth cur (no smart jokes, I know I`m black all over) and I am just the bestest boy! I moved into my foster mom`s home with a small dog, a young adult, small puppies and cats, yes cats..4 giant ones who like to rub up against me and snuggle. I love running in the yard, playing with toys. sleeping between my foster mom`s legs because yes, I am a cuddler! I think I am a small puppy and jump right into your lap but I’m actually a big baby weighing in at 75lbs…I look to my humans to help me learn about the world and feel safe. Sometimes I get scared of things and new people but give me a little bit of time and I will be in your lap cuddling and ready to learn all you have to teach me. I am such a smart loving boy who is a loyal companion looking for a forever family.Submit your applications online at: https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/pre-adoption-application/

Story
Hey ya’ll! My name is DOVER and I am a little over 2 years old!!! I have been with One Love since I was about 3 months old and all of my brothers and sisters have found their furever homes. Annnddd, I would really, really like to find my person(s) to watch over and love with all my might. So, I have asked my super cool foster mom and dad to help me put into words what would be my perfect fit*(see below)*! Maybe you are wondering why I am still with my foster parents for over a year now. Well, they have told me I have allergies to several things in my environment and they are most likely in everyone’s environment, so I eat special food and need allergy shots about every 4-8 weeks depending which part of our lovely Georgia season we are currently in. My skin was a mess when I was waaay younger and I had to go to a place called “the Vet” so often that now I really don’t like going there at all. Car rides scare me but I am getting better and can sometimes look out the window when we are going down the road. I am working on meeting new people and trusting them around those I love. I love to play with my foster brother because we have the same “energy” level (it can go from super high to just lounging on the deck watching the birds). I don’t understand older dogs who don’t want to roughhouse. I know everyone loves kids but they are not for me, can’t help it (I don’t trust them). I really just need a small family that I can hang out with, watch over and have them watch over me. Let me know if you want to meet!Dover would do best with a single person or couple without children or a lot of people coming and going, he needs consistency. He needs someone who will watch his skin color and behaviors that will tell when his allergies are getting bad, which can put him in a bad mood because he is miserable (the allergy shots are a savior). Dover is always on alert, until he trusts (a person or situation), so it is hard for him to relax and be the happy go-lucky dog who wants to meet everyone. New situations can overwhelm Dover and he needs to be handled with confidence and attention. He does not like larger crowds of people or dogs. He loves to play – whether it is tug-o-war with a rope or throwing his favorite toy to himself – but also loves to lounge around just knowing you have his back just as much as he has yours. He will always let you know if someone or something is out of the ordinary around the house. Dover is a super handsome and good boy

Story
Cybil is a sweetheart who just wants to love and be loved. This sweet girl is a whole lotta love in a little package. Cybil is a pup who is constantly looking to please and be the apple of your eye. If allowed she would love to be by your side night and day. She is potty trained and crate trained, although if you prefer to leave her out she is very respectful and doesn`t get into mischief while you are away. While she is dog reactive while on the leash (working and progressing day by day!) she shows no aggression towards her handler and loves to be reassured and pet to combat her anxiety. If you are looking for a best friend, sidekick, or new family member Cybil is here and waiting to be the next greatest thing in your life. Cybil will need a fenced in yard please. https://oneloveanimalrescue.com/pre-adoption-application/
