Story
Hello lovely people! I'd like to take the time to introduce myself if you don't mind. My name is Graham. I decided to take an awesome adventure in hopes I would find a kind and loving home to spend my near golden years and before I could find a proper one, I was brought to the shelter with ID on 7/24.Sadly, no one has tried to come look for me and take me home. Its a pretty sad situation and I'm sad because I don't want to spend another minute of my almost golden years in a loud, overcrowded shelter. Especially in a strange kennel for nearly 24 hours a day. I look forward to my walks and playtime with my friends, the volunteers. That little bit of time outside my kennel I cherish. I would really like to spend the rest of my years with you in a warm, welcoming home filled with nothing but love. and kindness everyday. Can you help me make my wish come true soon? I really hope so! I am a cute, sweet, gentle older fellow that deserves a better life. Wouldn't you agree? I am a very intelligent boy, too, and I do know how to sit when asked. So at some point I had someone that loved me enough to teach me some manners. I'm sure I know a little more and you could teach me even if I don't. Spend time with me and I'll show all the great things I could do! I am still eager to please and I can learn anything I don't know already. I will be your best student if you would be my best teacher! Oh, I am 6 years old and I also weigh 63lbs and every pound is nothing but pure love!! Which is a plus in my pup book! If you have got a loving heart to make time for me in your world, then I am your forever boy and I will be waiting for you. Just give me a chance and be patient with me. I would like to be apart of a family again and be wanted and loved and included in everything. I'm still a young pup at heart and a true love bug. Come see me please!! Graham is current on vaccines, neutered and micro chipped. He will be tested for heart worms also upon his adoption. Come visit him and allow him to live the rest of his adult life happily. He won't let you down. Graham will be waiting for his guardian angel in Run 26 and his ID is 5893. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Eckhart is in a foster to adopt program while he goes through his heartworm treatment. This is the only scenario to foster to adopt through the shelter. Hello great big world!! Introducing this beautiful boy we are calling Eckhart. Its the perfect name for this distinguished fellow as it means "sacred". Eckhart was wanting to be the ultimate explorer but that expedition was cut short because someone felt he should not be outside all alone and was brought to the shelter on 10/6. Eckhart is just 2 years old and weighs 65lbs. He is sweet, was initially shy but he has warmed very quickly. The volunteers have showered him with a lot of love and encouragement while he waits for his forever home. He is loving the affection and attention we are giving him. What pup doesn't want that? He must have a had a loving home at one point in his young life. They may have taken some time to show him some skills because he knows how to sit when asked. He will happily sit for treats! He may know more and would be willing to learn everything he needs to know to grow into the awesome pup that we know he already is! He is eager to please you and would be the perfect student. Eckhart is very loving and super sweet. He is the gentle guy that you would fall in love with. Can you please help this sweetheart and get him out of this loud, overcrowded shelter soon? He is still pretty young and have so much life and love to give. A shelter is no place for a young pup to start out in life. He is ready to be with you for the rest of his life. He deserves it and more. Eckhart is current on vaccines and will be neutered and micro chipped upon his adoption. Unfortunately, Eckhart tested positive for heartworms. Dogs who are treated for heartworms usually go on to live long and healthy lives. Please come see him soon and get to know him better! He will be waiting for his favorite person/family in Run 26. Eckhart's ID is 662442. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
