Senior pup Medusa is a barrel of a sweetheart! She is loving and affectionate to every person and child that she meets. Curling up on the couch with her family watching TV is her favorite place to be. When Medusa goes outside she takes a deep breath as if appreciating all the fresh air and sunshine. Medusa is an older gal, 12 years old Estimated DOB 8/11/2011), approximately 50lbs,and a medium sized, stout, gal. We would love to find a lifetime foster or adopter to let her live out the rest of her days. Story
Our brown eyed girl is looking for that special family to call her own! Dayzee came to Dirt Road Doggies Rescue with a litter of puppies who have all been adopted. Although Dayzee is 7 years old she is still a puppy at heart. She often gets the "zoomies" and loves to roll in the grass for a good back scratch. She loves her toys and sometimes will let you play fetch. She can be quite the comedian, and does well on a leash. Dayzee is house and crate trained and enjoys going for rides. Dayzee is a medium sized gal at around 40lbs. She has soulful eyes and is a daily reminder to enjoy the simple things in life, especially cuddles. Dayzee recently did a 5K as her first big outing and she did wonderful! There were people running by, cyclists, dogs off leash in yards nearby, and dogs on leash as participants in the race. Dayzee paid no attention to any of them. She just enjoyed the sunshine, stopped to smell the flowers, and wanted pets from the other human particpants. She was so happy to just be outside on a long walk. She finds joy in everything she does.  To meet or adopt Dayzee, complete an adoption application at www.dirtroaddoggiesescue.org ##716013##

Story
Roscoe is a very striking, handsome, dapper hound. He loves to play with his brother, sister and foster siblings. He tries to be as brave as possible but always approaches new situations with a lot of caution. Roscoe loves exploring the outdoors. He is a sweet, often goofy, athletic hound. His markings are very distinctive including bright "pumpkins seeds" above his sparkling eyes and absolutely adorable freckles. Roscoe is good with other dogs of all ages & sizes and has been introduced to cats but at a distance. He loves puppies! Kid testing has been very limited due to the pandemic.  Roscoe was born to a stray Mom in a dilapidated abandoned shack.  Completely feral and terrified of humans the Mom could and would not be caught. It was a freezing cold rainy January day when we first saw her litter of 14 huddled together in the corner of the abandoned house with no windows or doors. Too young to take, all we could do was leave food for the Mom each day hoping she would not leave or move her puppies. But she did move them numerous times. Sadly we continued to find dead puppies until one day they all disappeared. At age 4.5 months we were notified that 5 puppies were eating at the abandoned house. We recognized them by their markings and age. These pups were also feral by this time. But we could not leave them to live their lives as strays in a rural county with no animal control or shelter. Were they would likely be shot, poisoned or trapped to be used as bait dog's.  Three of Roscoe's siblings have been adopted and are absolutely wonderful pets. Roscoe and his brother Deputy are still being fostered.  Roscoe will require a very patient adopter or foster  home that is experienced with fearful dogs. His foster home currently has a lot of dogs, including a medical foster. They are managing so many personalities and dynamics they cannot give him the one on one attention he desperately needs. He absolutely requires a fenced yard. Perhaps with another dog that loves to be outside. A family that will give him time and space to adjust. Dirt Road Doggie’s Rescue will provide everything he needs and our full support as he transitions to new surroundings. He will be challenging. But like his siblings, once the barrier is lifted you will have an amazing, special boy to love. Roscoe has a precious tender heart and sweet, gentle soul. He is very special.  Roscoe is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. Crate trained, a bit stubborn on a leash but we are working on that.  He is lovingly fostered in Rutledge GA. https://awo.petstablished.com/pets/public/816346 ##816346##

Story
Introducing Sweet Simone! This approximately 10 month old girl is oh so sweet and affectionate.  Simone is a happy, playful girl and like her sister Nadia has the cutest wigglebutt you have ever seen!  Simone and her sister Nadia were born to a stray Mom and were found living in an abandoned dilapidated house. They came to us scared and shy but have come a long way. Simone is still shy and cautious with strangers so she will need a little extra patience in the beginning. She is overall a well adjusted, delightful girl with a perfect temperament. She has a beautiful feminine face and athletic build. She weighs a healthy 50lbs.  She is a stunning girl!   Simone is up to date on all vaccines. Spayed,  heartworm negative and microchipped. Crate trained, we are working on leash training.  This precious girl is lovingly fostered in Rutledge GA.    ##1172345##

Story
Tink Tink loves people and attention. She is very food motivated and would be easily trained.  Tink Tink is special in that she really loves men, but don't worry ladies, she still wants all the affection you and kids (older she tends to jump) have to offer.  She definitely does not want any cats in the household to share her attention.  We are listing her as dog selective (interested in them) because she is not truly socialised with dogs,  but could respond well to training and patience. She is crate trained and has not had any accidents in the house. We estimate she was born in early 2016 and is med/large at 45-50 lbs. Tink Tink is a strong girl that doesn't know her size, so someone who can handle and direct her wiggly energy would be ideal. This big ol' lovebug has been waiting a long time to be part of a family.  Tink Tink would love a foster or forever home. Meet this wiggle bottom today: dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org ##660285##
