Story
Guten Tag! My name is Gunter and even though that means "warrior", in my world it means "funny gunny bunny"! My foster mom says I'm great with other dogs, especially younger dogs because older dogs are just not into playing as much as I am! I love my cat foster brother too! I absolutely love going to doggy daycare on the weekends to hang out with all my friends. I never meet a stranger! I'm good with kiddos as well, but I like to wrestle and use my paws, so could scratch or accidentally hurt a little one. I'm proud to say I kennel well, can sit on command, sleep through the night, ride well in a car, am food motivated for easy training, and am potty trained. I'm a typical velcro doggy who REALLY loves my people! If you've got the squeaky toys and are ready to play fetch, we will get along just great! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative! August 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
My personality: Insecure but friendly and sweet. My story: At the tender age of two months, my brother and I found ourselves struggling to survive on the streets and ended up skinny and weak. I was too young to remember how we ended up so alone and unwell, but luckily a kind local found us and reported us to Soi Dog. Upon entry, the vets noticed I was having difficulty using by hind legs, so they performed some different surgeries to help. Don't worry though, I've recovered from all that now and, although I do have my own special squatting walk as a result, I’ve adapted well and enjoy walkies. My needs: My brother left the shelter to join his new family last year, but since I'm more of a sensitive soul, I needed some extra support from the behaviour team before I was ready to follow in his pawsteps. Although it still takes me a bit of time to get to know strangers, I enjoy making new friends nowadays and, once I do, I let them see the real quirky and sweet me. I'd like a home with a family who understands that I may need a bit of time to settle in and show them what a great family member I can be. Although I do enjoy going for walkies, the vets here advise that I take it easy due to my past medical issues. If you can offer me the life I'm searching for, please don't hesitate to let the adoptions team know so they can get started on getting me home to you. DISCLAIMER: I am located at Soi Dog in Phuket, Thailand. Soi Dog charges no adoption fee for me and I have been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters simply need to cover the cost of my travel crate, flight(s), and Rabies Titer Test (RTT). If you are interested in adopting me, then please inquire for further details. I woof really love it!

Story
My personality: Gentle, tentative, nervous. My story: When I was just two months old, I was abandoned on the streets in an area where lots of big, territorial dogs lived. Being so young and having little to no survival skills, I was extremely vulnerable. To make matters worse, I had also fallen ill with a number of different health issues. By a stroke of luck, though, Soi Dog had a mobile team in the area at the time. They saw my struggle, rescued me and transferred me to the shelter for safety and treatment. My needs: My tough start in life has left me with trust issues, and I can be nervous in new environments and sensitive to loud noises. With this in mind, I will need time to adjust to my new home and patience as I do so. I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter of my life; it might just take me a little while to feel brave enough to embrace it all and let my true personality shine. Story
My personality: Charming, affectionate, somewhat stubborn. My story: I am one of Soi Dog’s many amputees. Like the majority of three-legged residents here, I was injured in a car accident and left to languish at the side of the road. By the time I was rescued in October 2020, the nerves in my left front leg were destroyed and the muscle had all but wasted away. The vets at Soi Dog knew the only option was to amputate. Being the smart boy I am, I’d already adapted to walking on three legs on the streets, so after a period of rest, I was pretty much ready to go! My needs: While I can get around just fine on three legs, it does get tiring, so I tend to stop periodically during my walks. This is a good way of recharging while also making time for those human cuddles I enjoy so much! Unfortunately, I don’t share this same affection for other dogs. I’ve tried, but I just can’t seem to get along with them. With this in mind, I’m looking for a home with no other dogs and no young children either. I know homes like these aren’t always easy to find, but I’m hopeful that there’s someone out there who fits the bill and can give me the cuddles and care I need. Could that someone be you? Life will be fine and dandy if you pick me, Arandy!
