Story
Ray is an amazing 3-year-old dog who’s ready to bring excitement and adventure into your life! She’s happiest when she’s on the move — chasing a frisbee, going for a run, or joining her favorite people on an outdoor adventure. Ray would thrive in an active home with adults or older kids (12+) who can match her enthusiasm and keep her both mentally and physically engaged.Ray comes beautifully trained, and her new family will receive her full training packet to help continue her progress and keep building on her great foundation. She has a high prey drive, so she’ll need a home that understands her energy and instincts. Her compatibility with cats will be tested. If you’re looking for a smart, athletic, and loyal companion to join you on every adventure, Ray is your girl!To apply for Ray click here https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
Name: LaylaBreed: Pitbull mixAge: 5 years oldDogs: NoCats: NoKids: NoI'm Layla! Let me tell you a little bit about myself:At 5 years young I have plenty of zest for life! I love spending time with my people, whether it be getting some cuddles and butt scratches, going for car rides, getting my zoomies out in our expen, playing with the hose; I love water, or my absolute favorite thing, going on walks, I'm not hard to please! I prefer an introverted lifestyle, minimal foot traffic at home and low-key quality time with my humans, I'm not big on crowds or large social events. Don't get me wrong, I love to have fun and have quite a goofy personality around my people. I tend to have a small circle of friends as I am a bit apprehensive and unsure of new people, so I do take a little time to warm up to new friends, but my peeps at MHS say I'm doing quite well, I'm quite the cuddle-bug when I am comfortable! Sadly it's difficult for me to keep up with my house-training in a shelter environment so I'll need someone who has the patience and time to help me acclimate once in my forever home. I really would prefer to be the only animal in my new home, because I prefer a quiet environment where I can enjoy my people and get all the attention. I am spayed, micro-chipped, and UTD on my vaccinations. My friends at MHS are loving on me while I hang out at the shelter, but I'm really getting bummed seeing so many of my friends going off to their forever homes, while I sit and wait patiently wondering when my turn will be. If you are interested in meeting me and think you can give me the time, unconditional love, and home I need, please fill out an application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27
